Re: I made a cherry pie this afternoon.
I dug out the bag so I could identify where the cherries came from. Apparently they were grown and imported from South Africa to my local grocer. Locally grown cherries are indeed hard to come by around this year. I don’t pay much attention at the grocery store as there’s all this “organic this” and “gluten free” that. I do avoid anything that says it’s “kosher”, however. Mister Lukes, I would be more than happy to bake you a pie if you’re ever in need of one. I hope it would be to your pleasing. I can also make a mean apple pie.

Where?!? I thought they don't even mature until the third week of November! Are they even done flowering at this point?
