No, mental diseases are far from fiction. I'm currently studying the brains of zebra fish at my school to determine the causes of autism. You should look into neurology, you'd learn a lot about the human mind. It's quite fascinating.

I do believe in Evolution, but that's not very relevant at this point. Look at a fish brain, and look at a human brain. They both look alike. They both perform the same tasks. They both can develop autism. Evolution or Creation, they're still both brains and they still can be used to expand our current knowledge. If you'd prefer we experiment on human brains, well for one, it's a tad tricky to obtain cadavers, and it's not exactly ethical to experiment on a human brain on this scale whether it be alive or dead. Pastor Al dislikes scientific experimentation on humans as I recall.
