Outside The Bible were else would you expect to find any explanation of God? God by definition is ineffable, He is too vast for us to comprehend with our limited senses and point of view.

I have had more of a look round the LBC site and I understand more deeply the nature of your church and its mission. Honestly, I don’t take you or LBC fellow members as a joke in any way.

And now I can see you have made considerable effort to establish the ground rules throughout this site; you are indeed clear about them. It was my oversight not to spot them first off and familiarize myself with them. Your commitment to your cause is impeccable; likewise the LBC adherence to all that forms the substance of your faith. I have been quite fascinated by the strength of LBC convictions alone; and, while we will disagree on many matters, I can see that your intentions (as stated) have at their root something rather commendable.

Now this is a pleasant surprise! I didn't think you had it in you to respect our religion, but I was wrong. Now I'm glad I didn't post all those wisecracks I was thinking about you.

Perhaps, with time, you'll come to feel the love of Jesus and will understand that He gave us the Bible as a guide for life. And, by us, I don't just mean True Christians™, I mean you, too.

We are seekers of God. Jesus told us:

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

We are seekers, and finders, and knockers, and proud of it.

How else but genuinely would we explore the Living Word of God?

There's no substitute for reading the Bible yourself (it's online here), but, if you find that a bit daunting, Brother V has put together an excellent Bible in a Year forum where he explains, line by line, the letter that God wrote to you, the Holy Bible. You should take a look at that. But we'll be happy to answer your questions in this forum, too.

Joe, you are tossing a gauntlet. Possibly to our convictions, possibly to our knowledge. But since you have stayed this long, we will do you the courtesy of engaging you. In order to be absolutely clear, is English your first language? Do you conceptualize in English? If we get to that point, and if you are capable enough to pique our interest, we may choose to waive our rules of engagement and move to a private arena.
