    Which Bible should one read?

There may already be a thread like this so I appologise if this is a duplicate. As I mentioned in my introduction thread I have bounced around many denominations of christianity, or false christians as seems to be stated here.

So I noticed refferances to the King James verison of the bible. Is that the bible of choice? I know there are many different Styles of the bible, such as NIV study bibles for younger people and so on. Which is best?

They all contain the same scripture but sometimes wording varries, the reason I ask is that (and I appologise gravely if this seems off putting I am just trying to understand) you all take the word of the bible as the true word of God as it was written, so I want to start propperly by reading the correct 'verison' as it where.

    Thanks!

I just happen to have an old sermon that dealt with that exact subject. Take a look at THIS.

    You can thank me later.

Indeed thank you for that! That was quite eye opening, I had noticed various contradictions between the bible's before but I hadn;t noticed how many there truely where. False witness indeed. The KJV it is then!

I swear by the Holy Bible Concordance Red Letter Edition King James Version circa 1954........It was my dear ole pappy's bible that he handed down to me from way back.

If the bible ain't bound in leather and don't sound like it was written by Shakespeare himself, then it ain't worth a darn is what my dear ole pappy used to say.

The Honorable Brother Jessup T. Lloyd has spoken...Amen!

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11)

                  Here's a weird one:

The Bible Illuminated: The Book, New Testament presents the Bible in a full-color, glossy magazine format, set in running text with no verses, inviting readers to step into the Bible and experience it in a whole new way. The Book, using the Good News Translation as approved by the American Bible Society, will introduce believers and non-believers to a culturally relevant, accessible Bible and will encourage dialogue between people from all walks of life.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

It's the food of garlic-eating stinking dago greasy spastics, and is NOT something that should ever tough a copy of the Holy KJV Bible.

If you are looking to truly understand the Bible, get a Bible that has the Hebrew and English translation in it. Then purchase a good Hebrew Lexicon and Dictionary. As you study, your eyes will open to a truth you did not know existed.
