Sorry, I got distracted. I was thinking of this verse:

Deuteronomy 20:14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.

Anyway, a tank is a sort of an iron chariot and God isn't very fond of these:

Judges 1:19 And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

This is probably the Ukrainians thinking, that if they steal the tanks, they can win even if God is against them.

I think a stray ox or ass is a perfect metaphor for the gypsies. I don't understand how anyone could ever defend them.

That raises an interesting question: what language do the Gypsies even speak? Gyppo??? Some bastardizad foreign mixture like Luxembourgish? No, if they were to be forced to learn one language - American - and stick to it they may finally get somewhere in life. Look at me, proudly monotonal, and I get to travel the world.
