Gotta love Fun, they're an excellent band. Coming from a metal fan. That clothing is hipster, not gay. I don't like hipsters, I find them annoying, but it isn't gay. Wouldn't really call them rock, but I can argue over genres all day. Gay rights isn't limited to rock either though, I'd like to point out

To be entirely honest, I believe that the homosexual comunity deserves to be free from prejudice, such as fair trials etc. I don't think they have the right to get married. I disagree with their views, but I hate the act, rather than the people. Marriage is 1 man, and 1 women. It should stay that way, although I fear a politcally correct government may lead to it becoming legal.

Ex., in a kingdom where the king is a tyrant, and the people live in torment, the people would rebel, or harbor rebellious thoughts towards the king. Any person who possess a rational mindset has a chance (a considerably high) chance of rebelling or harboring the thought.

It's easy for the king to exploit what the people want the most, bliss. He just has to banish rational thinking from the people, therefore eliminating most chances of rebellion.

He describes an omnipotent being (which is actually himself, dubbed "God") who dominions over tiny, puny humans who ate a fruit and made him furious (this is the people, except with the whole original sin thing degrading them further) and promises happiness to those who completely, and I stress "completely" as much as possible, to him.

In this case instead of starving people and a filthy rich king, we have an almighty God and humans who, compared to God can practically do nothing and allegedly pissed him off. Chances of rebellion are so much more less, almost impossible in the second situation.

From this viewpoint, Christianity already presents itself as a mind control religion.

If you live for none but God, kill yourself, this world has nothing for you. You say it's "God's trial". Yeah sure it is, to make you "realize" how meaningless this world is to you according to God. Your God has proven himself...not as "loving" and "forgiving" as he is said to be.
