Ok, so I'm a little late to be replying to a previous post, but frankly, this needs to be said.

2. Drums are the instruments of satanists, devil worshipers and pagans, and should never be listened to. The rhythm has been proven to have a brainwashing effect on children, and slowly converts them to satanism. If you hear drums, block your ears! I cannot stress this enough.

I'm a drummer. I've been playing for 9 years or so, in and out of various bands. While I most enjoy playing rock music, I can also play jazz, samba, country (how many Dolly Parton songs don't contain drums?), electro and a bit of metal. I've also played as part of an orchestra and in the band for musical productions.

A good musician doesn't need some runt pounding an object to keep track in time. People need drums because of their utter lack of talent.

True Disciple, do you play an instrument of any kind? If so, have you ever played to a click track/metronome? A click will tell you whether you are perfectly in time or not, and recording to one (on any instrument) is something that many people find difficult. I can play live to a click track, a skill that most people don't have because keeping perfect time isn't an easy task. Why do you think orchestral music (which usually doesn't have consistent drums) needs a conductor?

Fair enough, I'm pleased to hear that you've experienced the fun of making music. Did you enjoy playing the instruments before you burned them? You have to ask yourself what kind of God would deny you of that potential enjoyment, and how exactly being a musician prevents you from worshipping Him. Does the Bible say anything about music being satanic? (That's a genuine question, not rhetorical).

Orchestral music still includes drums and percussion instruments of many forms. If you re-read my previous post you'll see that I've played as part of an orchestra and in musicals (for several years, and both using a conductor as well as drums).
