čarodějnic night, or burning witches night

Tonight in the Czech Republic we burn witches. Unfortunately only effigies because of secular law. However this holiday does pay homage to the days when a witch wasn't suffered to live and many were burned.

It brings a tear to my eye when I see the children laughing as the straw witch goes up in flames, but alas, if only she was real!

It is a Christian holiday and was barely able to be celebrated under communism because they hated Christians. Yet people still manged to celebrate by saying they were just have a fire to roast hot dogs and to get ready for the May day commie celebrations the next day, May 1.

May 1 is a pure commie inspired "workers day" celebration! They commies will be gathering in the square in my town. I will try to sneak in and take some photos on the sly. If I succeed I will post them here to prove the commie threat, the red menace, the pinko scum, are still alive and well!
    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

I think you might have been a little modest here brother Eliot. I'm sure it is just keeping in practise for the coming of a Theocracy to Chek Scek czko Central Europe towards which your work is dedicated.

It certainly sounds like the checkers have their hearts in the right place with this holiday.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

What a wonderful celebration. Is it always on April 30th? Maybe I should book a vacation for the family to there.

Hmmm...... although I like the idea there seems to be a bunch of drunken harlots wandering around. Why not round them up and remind them that they could be next?

I am trying to imagine the pleasing odor an immolated Joan Quigley would make unto the Lord's nostrils!!

Praise God, and pray the US re-legalizes witch burning!!
