    Dancing Imps or Emoticons?

Perhaps I am wrong ( this is likely to be the case given my gender ) but those little dancing figures everyone likes to splash all over their posts look like little imps to me. They seem demonic and kind of possessed, if you ask me. ( And I realize that you didn't.)

Can such little iconic critters be Godly? They leave an unsettled sensation in my stomach and the fact that they take on so many different forms is suspcious in itself.

What doe the KJV have to say?

    Re: Dancing Imps or Emoticons?

Interesting, as I was pondering this, Nephew Zebulun dropped in with a small party of young spinsters, whom he would be “seeing to later” (I assume it’s another one of his group Baptisms.) I mentioned this and he seemed knowledgable. He told me,

“It is well-known that the icon is named after the city of Iconium where these things first appeared as emoticons on wax tablets. Ac:13:51: But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

Ac:14:19: And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

Paul was not dead though and remarked,

2Tm:3:11: Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.’

The message to take away, according to Nephew Zebulun, is that icons cannot harm us.

I think the lolcat bible is full of emoticons. That can't be good.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

They took me some gettign used to but they seem to be part of the Internet. Fortunately JesOS(tm) automatically removes the evil ones.
