Think about it. If Darwin knew about adaptation and survival of the fittest, don't you think he would have applied that knowledge to his own advantage? But not only did Darwin die, he died at a normal age for a man of his day. So where is his special knowledge of survival of the fittest? He didn't do much evolving did he?
