Re: Seriously?
So, Comrade Brody, it seems to me that you are comfortable accepting God's Word when it comes to the treatment of women who have been raped, as well as God's total destruction of those who would rape men.
I make this assumption based on the fact that you make noises saying "I'm a Christian" and the fact that you have not chaffed in the least to some of the
Biblical references included earlier, such as Deutronomy 22 and the like.
It is a good sign that you do not bridle at God's declaration of what is right and wrong in these instances. Or, it is very odd. Because without listing every single verse, I am fairly certain that the Bible has more to say on the subject of homosexual activity than it does on rape. The sheer content of verses dealing with the former subject rather than the latter would suggest what God really cares about.
The Bible has so much wisdom to offer on so many subjects that it is easy to become overwhelmed. God, however, makes it relatively easy on us to remember the really important stuff by repeating it on more than one occasion in some rather strongly worded language.
Many of those verses have been listed for your benefit in earlier posts. You have not directly addressed a single one. You just blurt out things like, "I'm bi and proud" and, "I'm a Christian."
You are so single minded on the bi thing that you don't have a clue on what it means to be a Christian.
No one here with any honest knowledge of the Bible can resolve the disconnect between your two statements for you.
No one here is going to encourage you to continue in your bi activities while remaining so monumentally ignorant of the Bible.
Read the Bible and see what it has to say on the subject. Then look God in the eye and boast of your binary tendencies.
It cannot be done by anyone with any claim to intelligence, Bible literacy, rational ability or a fully functioning brain. If you sleep worship, it's a long shot.
Sooner or later, you have to wake up.
Flatly Yours,
Handmaiden
