Math as you know has the symbol for infinity (the sideways eight). It represents infinity and forever, or everlasting. The Psalms 147:5 says "Great [is] our Lord, and of great power: his understanding [is] INFINITE." Nothing can ever equal God. If (insert infinity symbol here) is equal to God then is Math Blasphemy? In my opinion I believe it is so.

Why are you worrying about such things. Just read the Bible.Originally posted by Glazer View PostMath as you know has the symbol for infinity (the sideways eight). Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

I would be worried if something MAN CREATED challenged God the Almighty.Numbers 14:11
And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they BELIEVE me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

Re: Does math challenge God ?
Man didn't create mathematics, God did. Man has the capability to misuse mathematics and usually doesn't understand how to use it to glorify God.Originally posted by Glazer View PostI would be worried if something MAN CREATED challenged God the Almighty.
"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:" Ephesians 1:11
"Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good" Lamentations 3:37-38
God defines what shall be true for His creation, and math is a part of that.
However, many times people misuse God's creation in ways that do not please Him.
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." Romans 1:20-21
So I don't think mathematics ITSELF goes against God, but rather people use it in sinful ways."Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Matthew 21:31-32

Re: Does math challenge God ?
This math is certainly a blasphemous tool of the Fallen One. It is used to justify all manner of deviant theory and in the creation of many types of demonic technologies. It is perverted enough that both of the following are true to unGodly mathematicians and their followers: infinity=infinity AND infinity!=infinity.Originally posted by Glazer View PostIf (insert infinity symbol here) is equal to God then is Math Blasphemy? Thankfully, this hated mathematical symbol has nothing to do with the word used to describe God. Infinite, to me, just means limitless. Not blasphemous at all.sigpic

Re: Does math challenge God ?
I'm neither a mathematician nor a theologian. But, it seems to me that the mathematical term, "infinitiy", has to mean some time period between now and the rapture.
This is a much shorter period of time the same concept in Landover Baptist theology.Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.
