There have been 2 miracles at Landover! A man, previously paralyzed, has been restored to full health!
Most of you will remember Daniel Feringua with some fondness for the fortitude with which he bore his sufferings. Daniel was involved in a horrific road accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. I remember going to see him once or twice and it was a pathetic sight: him lying there, tubes everywhere, weeping and unmoving, only speaking to utter some cry of pain. A man living only for the hopes he would be able to support himself from the anticipated huge payout from the insurance company.
I prayed with him, (I’m sure he was praying mentally with me) for Jesus to help him. The next time called round was about a week later, and I thought I saw Daniel on the roof of his house fixing the shingles! However, it was not as I had hoped, the man turned out to be Daniel’s long lost identical twin brother called David, who had been inspired by a dream in which Jesus told him where to find Daniel. He had dropped everything and come to help and care for Daniel. The First Miracle!
I hoped to see Daniel to give him more faith to bear his injuries but on this, and all the other occasions, it turned out that Daniel was sleeping, depressed, in too much pain, or wandering in his mind, etc., so could not receive visitors. All the time, David was working round the house or keeping Daniel’s body repair shop ticking over in the hopes that Daniel would some day be able to appreciate them.
A couple of the other Pastors wrote and made appointments to see Daniel. They too saw him lying there tubes everywhere, weeping and unmoving, only speaking to utter some cry of pain and stayed with him feeding him and caring for him because David was away on business on these occasions.
And then the insurance payout came – Daniel had been a man in excellent physical condition, now reduced to a cabbage - it totalled $20,372,558.34. Immediately David organized a therapeutic swimming pool, a specially adapted Chevvy Escalade, a house in the hills with big windows so David could lie there and see nature’s beauty. He even bought a light aircraft so he could commute between his own home and Daniels – that man did so much!
And then, only a month after the payout, who should walk into my office but Daniel!!! The Second Miracle! Yes, it was him and not David. Daniel told me that Jesus had appeared to both him and David in a dream. Our Savior told David that his services were no longer needed. In the dream David had questioned this but Jesus had told him to have faith. In Daniel’s dream, Jesus had taken Daniel’s arm, told him to rise from his bed of pain, discard all the tubes and he would be whole. Daniel woke and did this and found that David had already left.
Daniel is now the owner of 3 profitable body repair shops and spends most of his time in his house in the hills or travelling the world. He remains a True Christian™ and has told his story to many, including Police Officer Bob, Judge Tannor, and several insurance investigators – all confirm that they can find nothing wrong with it. Proof, if proof were needed, of Divine Intervention through a miracle of healing!
