Mari, where you live I believe that there is a great amount of Islamic history. Do you know what they believe? They believe that we were made from a clot of blood.

Even more evidence that they will believe absolutely anything. No Adam was made from dust and Eve was made from a rib.

Oh it's worse than that! So much sicker, and so much worse! As the following reading of their Queeran will demonstrate, the Muslims apparently believe we were made from a blood clot mixed with semen and a woman's, um, "love juice," for lack of a better word.

The question which immediately springs to mind, of course, is who bled that first blood clot, and who ejaculated that first sticky wad of goo that was used to make the first human?

The very idea that something as holy as the Bible could actually have been made up by bronze age savages rather than being the inerrant and utterly consistent word of God is something only foolish atheists could dream up to better hate God with.

Maria--I am happy that you are trying to master these complex ideas we find in the Bible.

I'm not a theologian either, but as I understand it, you do not have to worry about whether it was dust or sand because your gender was made from Adam's rib.

I would think this would make women very greatful to men.

It is important to remember that God used His magic powers to transform us FROM dust, into men, women, spics, and others. Other things he created out of nothing at all. This is what makes us special amidst His creation: we are made out of dust.

I read somewhere that dust is made of human skin cells anyway, so I suspect that is why God chose dust to constitute us.
