Re: Giving aid to Africa is a SIN!
I had understood that Africa was "the most fertile continent" (from an agricultural point of view) and one that had never suffered a drought (apart from local minor variations of weather)(except Zimbabwe which has neither fluctuating weather nor droughts)(but Zimbabwe is just one region of course). There are deserts where it never rains - but what sort of demoniac would live in a Sahara?
Other continents have deserts: very few people live in them, and those who do know how to dig a well (or whatever they do). They don't start whining "it's not fair, how would you like to live in a desert" (answer: I wouldn't, so I don't (and as it happens I was born in one & do know how to survive)).
And it's quite a lot of fun.
But unless you own a gold mine (or tin, bauxite, diamond, lead, zinc, ruby, tungsten, sapphire, antimony, uranium, amber, lapis lazuli, polonium, bismuth, mercury, iridium, jasper, yttrium, zirconium &/or other mines of that ilk) it is not exactly an equitable existence.
Africa is awash with those minerals.
That is how we know that they have been cursed by God. If we follow their example we will become cursed too.
