Somebody I quite like even though they are a filthy sinner has cancer

PRAISE!

I've had a bit of a wake up call from God. I'm a bit of a big softy sometimes and one of the people I quite like is a sinner and I've put up with it all this time. He gives money to charity often and without bragging about it, he's friendly and courteous and helpful to everyone. Generosity? He's one of the most giving people I know and always welcoming and kind to any guest. He's also great fun to be around.

So what's wrong with him? Well can I get him to go to church? Never, because he's an atheist!

And I have been associating with him in the hope that one day he will respond to my witnessing and come and join God's party in Heaven.

But now God has shown me the error of my ways and reminded me of His commandments. He has smitten the heathen with cancer of the pancreas and lots of secondary cancers. This is clearly an instruction to me to remember the following verse.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

I have been misled by the compassion in my heart to ignore his wanton sinfulness in rejecting our Lord and bamboozled by the illusion of goodness that this agent of Satan has been cloaking his evil behind.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Rest assured, brothers, that I have learned from this experience and will be shunning him. His wife likewise cannot see the light and is standing by him and will not accept that he is being punished for his unbelief by God. She won't even answer the phone any more. He's dragging her to Hell with him. why could I not see this before?

He rang my number several times last night and left messages on the answer machine wondering why I no longer return his calls and am not standing by him in his difficult time. HIS difficult time! Typical of a heathen to be so selfish. I nearly was dragged into Hell because of his seductive pseudo-goodness.

I urge you, brethren, shun the unbelievers among your acquaintances before it's too late.

Praise! You should count yourself lucky that God hasn't also given you cancer to punish you for associating with him.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Matthew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

P.S. If it turns out that God has decided to smite you after all, you have my sympathies. But not too much sympathy, for obvious reasons.

Anyone with pancreatic cancer must hate God. According to the Bible, God would heal anyone so long as they diligently hearken unto His voice like a TRUE Christian(tm). Anyone who has a problem following God's eminently reasonable commandments is just wicked, and deserves pancreatic cancer.

I sure hope you don't catch the cancer off him. You'd do well to spend more time in your Prayer Closet, and sending in a large Love Offering to God's favorite Church wouldn't hurt either.

The phone rang last night. His wife left a message on the machine saying he's dying soon and is in hospital and whatever it is that's making me act like an asshole shouldn't stop me from seeing him one last time.

Just goes to show how twisted secular people are. She wants me to go to Hell alongside him. Not a chance! I know where my loyalties lie and am seeing clearly now.

You need to go over to his home and reclaim all your power tools. Once he dies, all the vultures will be laying claim to everything in the house, including the widows future Soldiers of Christ.

If there's still time, I'd be sure to share pertinent scriptures with him.

Perhaps there is time to repent and confess before he burns for all eternity.

Redeemed, your situation got me to thinking. We here at Landover Baptist should offer people like you gifts to be given to hellbound friends.

These would be gifts that reflect your awareness of their terminal illness, but also convey the message they need to repent now. One item might be a gift wrapped fire extinguisher.

Maybe others have good ideas on this.
