A question for the cherry pickers...

I'll keep this short but sweet:

How do you know that the bits that were "twisted by people with an agenda" that you choose to ignore because that's obviously not the word of God and is corrupt aren't the bits that are unstained and original?

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

    Excellent question, Brother.

I'd also like to know which parts of the Holy Word of God we should ignore, and how they decide that.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Re: A question for the cherry pickers...

We already know the answers, brothers. The parts that don't make us feel good are the parts we should ignore.

You all know what a gentle soul I am, and I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that I can't bear to think of myself ever mutilating my wife if I was lucky enough to be married.

So therefore, I should just ignore that part of the Bible which tells me that if I'm ever engaged in fisticuffs with another man, and my wife jumps in and tries to save me from getting my butt kicked, and in so doing, she happens to grab hold of that man's Tender Vittles, I have a responsibility to make sure her hand gets amputated.

      Deuteronomy 25:11-12

11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

12 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

See, I wouldn't feel good about that, even though I am commanded to have no pity for her.

So obviously, according to the Biblical revisionists and feel-good Christians, the above verses must have been "corrupted" by "somebody with an agenda."

I'm very sorry, Pastor Zeke. I know I promised never to speak of that incident.

Re: A question for the cherry pickers...

Well, we're basing this question on the premise that some of the Bible's wording has been twisted or defiled, which is obviously NOT true since the Bible clearly states that IT IS the inspired word of God Himself! Therefore, it CANNOT be defiled, for God's word is incorruptible because he's PERFECT!

              2nd Timothy 3:16
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

Plus to deny or ignore the Old Testament because it's crazy or "doesn't apply" to our modern world is akin to giving the Jesus the middle finger...

              Matthew 5:18
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Jesus was pretty blunt about cherry picking the Bible. Fire and brimstone is the only option for those who choose to partake in such treacherous endeavors.
              Revelation 20:10
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.

When quoting this verse, I like to ask liberal false Christians whether heaven and earth have passed.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
