He hit me and it felt like a kiss.

You know how it is when you get a tune on your mind but can't quite remember all the words and then you end up singing la-la-la, etc? Well as I was drowning a few kittens the other day, this one came to my mind. And Jesus led me to it on Youtube.

I remember it back in the day when it was released - I gave a copy to Mrs Bathfire. I like to think she was touched. Ah... happy memories. That's when men were in charge, had not been cowed by the liberals and were unafraid to teach women the right way to do things.

    Things were happier then.

He hit me and it felt like a kiss
He hit me but it didn't hurt me
He couldn't stand to hear me say
That I'd been with someone new
And when I told him I had been untrue

He hit me (da-da-da-ah) and it felt like a kiss (felt like a kiss)
He hit me (da-da-da-ah) and I knew he loved me
If he didn't care for me,
I could have never made him mad
But he hit me (da-da-da-ah) and I was glad

    (Da-da-da-ah)
    (Da-da-da-ah)

Yes, he hit me (da-da-da-ah) and it felt like a kiss (felt like a kiss)
He hit me (da-da-da-ah) and I knew I loved him
And then, he took me in his arms
With all the tenderness there is
And when he kissed me (da-da-da-ah), he made me his.
    (Da-da-da)

I sometimes think it was a pity that Mr Spectre, who produced the song, didn't stick to the words instead of allowing that woman to play with his gun.

    I'm a sucker for a romantic song.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Why, it would be a down-right GODLY song if she weren't a nigress.

That is a catchy tune. I was skeptical at first with the mulatto girls singing it, but they really did a good job making it nonrhythmic that you couldn't dance to or get dirty thoughts about.

I wouldn't mind seeing that in our regular praise and worship service songs offering.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

It sounds to me like "he" should have hit a lot harder harder. Punishment is pointless if there is no severe suffering.

Punishment should result in an increased fear of God. The person being punished should be suffering so severe that they are very afraid the punishment will be repeated. They should live in total fear of getting punished again. This fear of punishment should consume their entire existence. This total fear, is the fear of God and is what will keep them from making mistakes.

There is a reason the Bible teaches us to use a rod for beatings:

          Proverbs 29:15
The rod and reproof give wisdom: But a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

But brother, are you saying she should not revel in her godly punishment? To me, it should make her know how loved she is. If you didn't beat her out of jealousy for looking at other people every once in a while when you get drunk, how would she know you care?

I agree Brother. I am certain my wife and children love me almost as much as they love Jesus for beating the fear of God into them. They will have an eternity in Heaven to thank me.

Lyrics like "He hit me and it felt like a kiss" and "He hit me but it didn't hurt me" doesn't sound like those women got the fear of God beaten into them. Perhaps it's one of those women things I never understand. Their faces don't look as if they got a proper beating, so I have my doubts.
