  • SARAH PALIN: JOHN BIRCH SOCIETY MEMBER!

In a picture supplied by Sarah Palin's family to the Associated Press, Palin appears with some rather odd reading matter: The magazine of the ultraconservative John Birch Society. The picture, dating to 1995, when Palin was a member of the Wasilla City Council, ran beside a profile of Palin in Saturday's New York Times. The magazine, The New American, is sitting on top of her calendar on her desk, unopened. - Politico

The John Birch Society was founded by a man who circulated a letter calling President Dwight D. Eisenhower a "conscious, dedicated agent of the Communist Conspiracy". The John Birch Society is so conservative even J Edgar Hoover's FBI classified it as a "subversive" organization.

From its founding the JBS has been uncovering the communist one-world-government new-world-order plots, and uncovering communist agents such as Martin Luther King. It's specific political goals include the repeal of civil rights legislation.

Today the John Birch Society still sees communism as a threat, and sees the collapse of communism in Russia and Eastern Europe as false and "planned" by the Russian/Eastern European governments - which explains why Sarah Palin is so willing to start a war with Russia.

Here is the photo, with a close-up of the magazine in the second image:

The "Con-Con" mentioned on the magazine was a secret convention in which two Governors would rewrite the constitution (this was before 9-11, back when the constitution was a good thing). Read what she was reading here:

    Con-Con Call

    by Don Fotheringham

Beware Mike Leavitt's "Conference of the States"

Utah Governor Mike Leavitt seems to think the United States Constitution is obsolete. He has teamed up with Governor Ben Nelson of Nebraska to set in motion the mechanism for making fundamental changes to our constitutional structure...."
Assuming Sarah Palin still reads what's written by the John Birch Society. here's what she's reading about today:

Proof the Chinese are Satanic: they rebuilt the tower of babel

Abolishing Public Education would be a good thing for America

    UPDATE!

Strangely, when asked what magazines and newspapers she reads, she just says "most of them" and doesn't mention the JBS magazine. Political correctness has gone too far when one can't proudly proclaim that they get all their news from the John Birch Society!

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media —
COURIC: But what ones specifically? I’m curious.
PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.
COURIC: Can you name any of them?
PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news.

    Brother Jeb,

Is this really what we want to be telling America about Sister Sarah Palin? I mean this shows her in a rather liberal light. I just wish we could get her to come out for a TRUE Conservative position on the issues.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

      How's this:

Sarah Palin's convention speech quoted a man kicked out of the John Birch Society for being too anti-semitic - a man she descibes as a man of "honesty and sincerity and dignity."

It turns out one of its few memorable non-Obama-attacking lines was lifted from an old anti-Semite so extreme that he was booted from the John Birch Society.

It is, honestly, a bizarre and inexplicable story. "We grow good people in our small towns," Palin said, quoting someone identified only as a writer, "with honesty and sincerity and dignity." That "writer," the Wall Street Journal notes, is a man named Westbrook Pegler. You have probably never heard of him, but he was a very popular and very right-wing columnist from the first half of the 20th century. How right-wing? He openly wished for the assassination of Franklin Roosevelt, for one.

And for two, he was quite the anti-Semite! He hated Jews so much, the far-right anti-Semitic John Birch Society banned him from their journal. And all Pegler did was claim that American Jews were "instinctively sympathetic to Communism"!

I just know that our Sarah is a True American and reads the right news sources, which confirm her position instead of jumping at every nem-fangled policy. (Nephew Zebulun suggested that she might be using the pen to draw mustache and glasses on the pictures - I am not best pleased with his so-called "sense of humor")

Re: SARAH PALIN: JOHN BIRCH SOCIETY MEMBER!

By quoting Mr. Westbrook Pegler, Sarah Palin was giving us a "dog whistle", that is, a message of support that only we alone will notice. I hope she gives us some more Pegler quotes, here's a few for her to choose from:

                On Robert Kennedy:

He wished in 1965 that "some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter his spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies." (J. Sharlet, "Paradise Shot to Hell: The Westbrook Pegler Story", in Boob Jubilee, Ed. T. Frank & D. Mulcahey, W.W. Norton & Company, 2003, p. 358)

                On the Jews:

Jews, he said, could not be the victims of persecution because persecution "connotes injustice...They are, instead, enduring retaliation, or punishment." (D. Levitas, The Terrorist Next Door: The Militia Movement and the Radical Right, Macmillan, 2002, p. 71.)

He advanced the theory that American Jews of Eastern European descent were "instinctively sympathetic to Communism, however outwardly respectable they appeared." (The New York Times, Obituary: "Free-Swinging Critic," June 25, 1969, p. 43).

He had a habit of calling Jews "geese" because they, in his words, hiss when they talk, gulp down everything before them, and foul everything in their wake. (Diane McWhorter, "Revisiting the controversial career of Westbrook Pegler," Slate, March 4 2004).

March 12 1945; In response to the Fair Employment Practices bill of New York State, which forbade Jews and other minorities from being restricted by quota in New York City medical establishments, Pegler attacked the new law as "pernicious heresy against the ancient privilege of human beings to hate." (R. Kahn, The Era, 1947-1957, University of Nebraska Press, 2002, p. 44)

                On the Civil Rights movement:

In 1963, less than 3 months after Martin Luther King Jr., delivered his famous "I Have a Dream Speech," he wrote in a column, "[It is] clearly the bounden duty of all intelligent Americans to proclaim and practice bigotry." (D. Levitas, The Terrorist Next Door: The Militia Movement and the Radical Right, Macmillan, 2002, p. 71)

In 1936, he wrote his famous lines, "I am a member of the rabble in good standing." in a column written in praise of a California lynch mob that killed two... (Diane McWhorter, "Revisiting the controversial career of Westbrook Pegler," Slate, March 4 2004).

                On the labor movement:

He once exhorted citizens to join strikebreakers "in the praiseworthy pastime of batting the brains out of pickets." (J. Sharlet, "Paradise Shot to Hell: The Westbrook Pegler Story", in Boob Jubilee, Ed. T. Frank & D. Mulcahey, W.W. Norton & Company, 2003, p. 358)

                On Roosevelt:

He wrote that "It [was] regrettable that Giuseppe Zangara hit the wrong man when he shot at Roosevelt in Miami." (W. E. Leuchtenburg, The FDR Years, Columbia University Press, 1997, p. 316).

There is certainly no doubt that the John Birch Society was right about a number of things. I question whether or not Sarah Palin really believes all their positions when it comes to Jews, however. Consider that Republicans currently express more hopeful and enlightened views. We have to look no further than Godly Republican Ann Coulter in her belief that Jews can be perfected.

If you think the John Birch Society does nothing but hunt for hidden communists in power, you're wrong. They also look for secret Nazis in power:
By the fall of 2005 we had U.S. DoD apparatchik Debra Cagan showing up to a Hungarian embassy party dressed up as a real dominatrix...
Would it be too much of us to ask as her employer, "Debra, is it really good judgment to accept this medal, while dressed up like a Nazi boy toy?"
...Like words, symbols and fashion do make statements.

...Yes, upon close observation, the Patriarchal Cross used in the Hungarian Coat of Arms that is designed into the Commander's Cross is the same popular Patriarchal Cross...used to designate the 33rd degree level in Free Masonry.

They have a point - is that Condoleesa Rice or a member of some Emo boy-band singing "the black parade"? Add the freemasonery connections and it looks like Sarah Palin has more to worry about that Putin rearing his head over Alaska.

I've had it out for the John Birch Society after they deemed me a "dangerous extremist, detrimental to the cause" after I "assaulted" Janet Reno.

The year was 1993, Mrs. Doubtfire was number one at the box office and I tried to pull off Janet Reno's wig to prove that she was actually a man. It was an honest mistake that could have happened to any of us. I was also using JBS funds to spearhead a campaign to funnel crack cocaine into inner city preschools.

Where else can you speculate which elected officials are transvestite homosexual Communist secret Muslims that conduct back-alley abortions in their Washington offices, stash illegal weapons-grade plutonium in an aircraft hanger covered in a camouflage canopy, have a group Bible study and then gangrape a 15 year old cheerleader over the hood of Big Ray-Ray the Pedophile's (Joe the Plumber's brother-in-law that he doesn't talk about) Chevy?
