I understand Mitt Romney is mormon but I can't help but to be in agreement with him more and more.

One thing I cannot stand is America's lazy population who complain incessantly about how rough they have it. Give me a break, the Bible tells us; work hard, be rewarded.

Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

God Bless Mr Romney for his tough love stance on the lazy poor.

In an interview on CNN, Romney said he was not concerned about the poorest Americans, but that his primary focus was on the middle class.


“I’m not concerned about the very poor, we have a safety net there,” he said, adding, “If it needs repair, I’ll fix it.”


Romney also said he would leave concern for the poor to the Democratic party.


“We will hear from the Democrat party the plight of the poor,” Romney said. “And there’s no question it’s not good being poor and we have a safety net to help those that are very poor. But my campaign is focused on middle Americans.


“You can choose where to focus, you can focus on the rich, that’s not my focus. You can focus on the very poor, that’s not my focus. My focus is on middle income Americans, retirees living on Social Security, people who can’t find work.”

While I have always supported Mitt Romney I believe Romney is being quoted out context here by accurately posting his full and complete statement. To understand the bigger picture here with Romney's words the key is were is the emphases.

“I’m not concerned about the very poor, we have a safety net there,” he said, adding, “If it needs repair, I’ll fix it."

Since Romney has signed on to the Ryan plan, Romney is saying "I have already decided to take the social safety net away from these deadbeats, so there will be no very poor because they will all be dead from starvation or get jobs."

And the same for the Middle Class.

"My focus is on middle income Americans, retirees living on Social Security, people who can’t find work.”

Mitt is going to fix them too.

What do we do for the poor in Freehold? Nothing.

There is no excuse to be poor. All you have to do is follow the Holy Word of God to the letter, trust in the Lord, and give every red cent you've got to God's favorite church, and Jesus will reward you beyond your wildest dreams.

Mitt Romney (whom I have ALWAYS supported) is unemployed, yet you don't see Mitt Romney on the street corner asking for welfare checks! Romney is pulling himself up by his bootstraps by spending some of his savings from his Swiss bank accounts and Cayman Islands to get job. The man is a role model.

As a proud one-percenter, I'm a bit miffed that Mitt is publicly proclaiming to turn his back on the very rich and focus on the "middle class". Rich people do more for this country than those suburban leeches ever will. Hopefully, he's just talking out of his ass and feeding the idiotic masses what they want to hear.

I want a candidate who will unabashedly stand up and say "YES! I stand up for the One Percent! The rest of you can all die in a fire for all I'm concerned." It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the poor (and to a lesser extent, the middle class) are consumers and not producers. They give nothing to society and just take, take, take.

Do I really have to point out that...

• The rich create jobs. When a Wal-Mart opens up, it creates hundreds of wonderful, well-paying minimum wage jobs, whereas a typical Mom and Pop store might have one, maybe two job openings?
• The rich stimulate the economy. If the one percent e own 99% of the wealth, it stands to reason that we are spending 99% of the wealth! Keep our taxes low, repeal the death tax, and allow us a total free market and we'll get this country back on track!
• Rich people are morally superior. Think about it; when's the last time a rich person ever goes to prison? Hardly ever, and when they do, it's such a rare event it makes frontpage news.

So Mitt, don't give up on your own kind! I really hope he's just feeding them hope-and-change BS and that he won't be a traitor to his own class.

Rev. Osborne, once again, your comments are right on the money. If I did not have to pay so much in taxes, I could afford more employees. If my tax rate dropped to say 10%, that would save me $5mm annually. At $18K/year, I could hire as many as 100 more people. Could you imagine another 100 middle class people with productive jobs? 100 more people that could hear the Word of God all day while working. It would be truly glorious.
