    support Monsanto!

The Godly American agricultural biotech company Monsanto is under violent assault from communists and ecofascists worldwide

On May 25 an estimated two million people turned out in 436 cities in 52 countries to protest genetically-modified foods and their main developer, Monsanto. by Bob Adelmann

On Saturday, May 25, an estimated two million protesters turned out in 436 cities in 52 countries to protest genetically-modified (GM) foods and their primary developer, Monsanto Company, Inc. This far exceeded anything Tami Canal could have imagined when she created a Facebook page entitled “The March against Monsanto” back in February.

When Proposition 37 failed in California in November, Canal decided to do something about it. Prop 37 would have required labeling of GM food products so that (according to the bill) “the people of California [would be] fully informed about whether the food they purchase and eat is genetically engineered and not misbranded as natural so that they can choose for themselves whether to purchase and eat such foods.”

“If I had gotten 3,000 people to join me, I would have considered that a success,” Canal said Saturday. “It was empowering and inspiring to see so many people, from different walks of life, put aside their differences and come together today.”

She added: “We will continue until Monsanto complies with consumer demand. They are poisoning our children, poisoning our planet.”

One of the reasons that likely motivated Canal to focus on Monsanto was the discovery that opponents to Proposition 37 outspent supporters by five-to-one, with the biggest contributor to the “No Prop. 37” campaign being Monsanto with its $8 million gift, nearly as much as all the supporters garnered put together. The measure barely lost, 51 percent to 49 percent.

Others opposing Prop. 37 included GM food giants DuPont, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Bayer, Dow AgroSciences, BASF Plant Science, and Coca-Cola North America.

Monsanto has been increasingly perceived as a big bully, and the history of litigation on its Wikipedia entry goes on for pages. The first challenge to Monsanto’s claim that GM foods were natural and healthy came from the publishing of a peer-reviewed study by an obscure Hungarian-born scientist, Árpád Pusztai, in 1998. Under the auspices of the Rowett Research Institute in Scotland, Pusztai’s study found that feeding GM potatoes to rats led to “negative effects on their stomach linings and immune systems.” In a World in Action interview, he set off the world community with the statement that, if it were up to him, he wouldn't eat GM foods. He added that it was “very, very unfair to use our fellow citizens as guinea pigs.” His remarks and his study were opposed with such vigor and vitriol that Pusztai, a 36-year veteran at Rowett with 270 papers and three books on plant lectins on his curriculum vitae, was terminated by Rowett. The controversy became known as the Pusztai Affair.

Investigative journalist Andrew Rowell looked into the incident and concluded that the pressure to sack Pusztai had come from not only scientists who took issue with parts of his study but also Monsanto officials, who had pressured President Clinton to call British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair had then called Rowett Institute Director Philip James and told him to terminate Pusztai.

In 2005 Pusztai, who has continued his work on plant lectins as well as speaking out on GM foods, received the Whistleblower Award from the Federation of German Scientists. In 2009 he received the Stuttgart Peace Prize.

Other studies since the Pusztai Affair have served to heighten concerns about GM foods while exposing Monsanto’s role as a bully trying to salvage its reputation by savaging its opponents. In 2007, 2009, and 2011 Gilles-Eric Seralini, a professor of molecular biology at the University of Caen in France, published the results of other studies that involved feeding Roundup-resistant maize to rats. Those studies found: GM foods caused liver, kidney, and heart damage in rats. Seralini suffered similar indignities from Monsanto and its allies, resulting in the “Seralini Affair.” This time, however, Seralini didn't have to defend his position by himself; a letter signed by more than 130 of his peers was published in support of his work.

What’s at stake here isn't Monsanto’s reputation. Monsanto has already been sufficiently tarnished and sullied by its own misbehavior, political manipulations, and thuggery. What is at stake is its position in the market. If the perception that GM foods may be unhealthy is ever accepted by the general population (Vermont and Connecticut just passed their own Prop 37 measures requiring GM labeling on food products), then Monsanto’s near-monopoly sustained through its influence over politicians is in jeopardy.

An estimated two million people took time off from their busy weekends to add their voices to those clamoring to end that monopoly and give people back their freedom to choose what kind of food they eat.
So please do your part and DONATE money to Monsanto in these harsh times! I am so proud that our own Free Market Fred is a shareholder in this company!

Agreed! I was actually approached by Monsanto to go to one of this protests as a spy, and let me tell you: it was disgusting! Hippies of all ages, Indians out of their reservation, and they were using bad words (screaming Hell No GMO) even in presence of little kids and elderly republicans.

These hippies even wanted me to sign a petition that would require FDA to put labels on GMO food. (They even have a website for this petition, http://justlabelit.org). Can you imagine? Why would I be interested in knowing what I eat?? I have total trust in international corporations!!

First, we should be thanking Monsanto for developing an efficient method of eliminating rats; a scourge on the human race.

Second, if God in His Infinite Wisdom, wants Monsanto to clone sheep, who are we to question His Ways.

        Monsanto is an incredible company.
I lease their seed, my yields are up 130%, the crop does not spoil, even in the moldiest of conditions. The only requirement is my family has to wear breather apparatus due to the dust when seeding. But my workers do not need them fortunately as they are all migrant workers.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

          This is outrageous!!!

MONSANTO, an idolatrous organization, is asking for our help, so that they may play at God's Holy Works?

How dare they ask such of christians on this forum. If only scripture reads true, then why do they use such Devil's tools such as their "DNA" to change what God made?!
Do they not know that God's will is done by God, and he alone?! Why would this be posted here?!

Monsanto does only what God tells them to, you know, He works in mysterious ways! And who needs bees anyway? They are only annoying and stings. Monsanto is one of the best things that has ever happened to humanity, it is truly a gift from God. And who would believe that Monsanto products are dangerous? It even says on their website that its sustainable and not dangerous at all, all other "information" is just hippy and Big Government propaganda.

Ex Viking--An excellent review to the countries who spit in God's eye.

Monsato needs our support. Without Monsanto giving us industrial food, we would be eating bugs and bird feathers.

I especially like the Monsanto policy of filing lawsuits against farmers who grow their own seed. When Monsanto finds DNA of of their modifications have blown across the fense into a farmer's field and gets into his home grown seeds, it forces the farmer to pay royalities.

                God bless Monsanto.

Interestingly where South Australian farmers, many of whom are Lutherans, complain that their "premium" crops have been "contaminated" it is difficult for them to claim against Monsanto. I've never really been able to tell a Lutheran from a papist.

                      Re: support Monsanto!

Thank you brothers and sisters for your support in this time of need!

Monsanto is a great company, but is being bullied by liberals trying to create a New World Order based on global warming and gay marriage! Fortunately, we just got a law passed in Congress that will make it a felony to "interfere with agriculture," which ought to silence these terrorists and at the same time keep our privatized prisons busy and profitable!.

Full disclosure here - I am a major shareholder in Monsanto, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my support for this Godly company. I support Monsanto on principle, because they do so many wonderful things to make our lives better.

This might be a good time to announce that a joint-venture between Monsanto and the Uranus Corporation to produce food that never spoils is - forgive the pun - bearing fruit. Thanks to designer genes, we've created both plant and animal cells that absorb radioactive waste, which in turns kills bacteria that would normally cause food to spoil. So not only does it make food safer, but it gets rid of the (unjustly vilified) nuclear waste that we've been stockpiling in the dumpsters we place in our now privatized elementary schools. Thus, we kill two birds with one stone!

Can you imagine - raw beef that needs no refrigeration! Put it in a plastic bag and keep it a whole year (or 100!) in your pantry and it will remain fresh as the day the cow got the ax.

                      Fresh meat, expires 2/2/2453

As an added benefit, our new Fukushima Farms™ products - marketed by Uranus Corporation - glow in the dark and thus can be used as a source of illumination in the event of a power failure.

Now for anyone concerned about the safety of these new tasty treats, you'll be happy to know that all our food products are FDA-approved. The new head of the FDA is a very competent individual whom you can all trust - I know him personally as he's a member of our Executive Board. He's also a True Christian, which is further proof of his integrity!

I hope that you are all as excited as I am by these delicious new food items that are about to hit the supermarket shelves. Food that never spoils - another fine product from Monsanto and Uranus! And if you can't trust Uranus, who can you trust?
                      Praise Jesus!

                        Re: support Monsanto!

I bought shares in Monsanto to do my part in defending the biotech company against the two million bullies. It's the common liberal syndrome - people wanted drought-resistant crops, Roundup Ready™ roses, man-eating corn, cows that produce twice as much milk, human-sized centipedes, glowing fishes, talking frogs and flying dogs for ages, and when a successful company finally brings it - they outcry.

Regarding Ex-Viking's list with GMO hostile regimes - I found a disturbing duo that every ecofascist must consider - Austria and Hungary. Austria-Hungary fought on the fascist side in World War I (and will probably fight on the neofascist side in World War III, ruled by Joseph Fritzl).

Monsanto is also opposed by Putin, who threaten America with a "global war".

If it wasn't for GMO, people would starve in America, as they do in Greece and Africa.
