Unless you are a gynecologist, there is no way that you are an expert on menstruation or anyhting else pertaining to women's bodies.

The Pharisees and Saducees tried to make people live under the law, just like you folks attempt to do. Ever hear of Apostle Paul, how he had a conversion from law to grace on the road to Damascus?

I am saved by Grace through Faith, not by works. Keeping the law is not in the picture any more due to what Christ has done for us.

God doesn't change. If something was a sin in Old Testament times, it is still a sin today.

So does that mean you can commit adultery now? After all, that's an Old Testament law.

The Pharisees taught a strict adherence to the letter of The Law. They were wrong for two reasons. One is that they felt free to violate the spirit of the law as long as they are sticking to the letter. Jesus preached multiple sermons about this. The other is that they didn't believe in forgiveness of sins. Jesus showed that forgiveness comes with conviction and repentance.

We don't believe in legalism here, either. We believe in the Gift of Salvation through the Grace of God, amen.

Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Let's take cooking as an analogy. Some people have no idea how to cook, so they have to fumble their way through recipe books, carefully measuring everything, carefully timing everything, and the food they prepare is barely palatable. There are other people who are master chefs. They don't need recipes because they instinctively know how to prepare food, and everything they cook tastes wonderful.

The law is like the recipe books, and unsaved folks are like the folks who can't cook. They need to carefully follow the law in order to perform God's Will, and even then they don't do so well at it.

Born-again Christians, however, has no need for the law, because we instinctively know how to perform the Will of God. The Holy Spirit lives within us, shielding us from temptation, and pointing out the path towards righteousness, just like the master chef's education and experience prevents him from making mistakes.

The Pharisees didn't believe forgiveness of sins is possible -- one sin and you are automatically damned. It is still true that anyone who sins, even once, deserves eternal damnation, but Jesus made it possible to be saved.

Anyone who repents and believes may be saved. Praise the Sweet name of Jesus!

What is all this wife beating about? I have been married for many many years, have known marital bliss for all of them. My wife is smart and savvy and very capable. She very much enjoys the sanctity of the marital bed, as she well should. Sex is not for making babies, that is a Roman Catholic belief. Besides, who wants more kids in this economy?

Any man who beats his wife deserves the same treatment. Any wife who tolerates such abuse needs some help, and certainly more training on finding a godly man to marry. It is very clear these poor women chose men with severe control issues, who don't know how to turn women on!

If men in your church are so sexually frustrated that they have to beat women, they may was well start up a temple prostitute program to meet their sick needs. It wouldn't be any more sinful than spousal abuse, the girls could make a few bucks of which they could then tithe with, and church attendance would probably boom!
