I thought you said you had nobody to guard you? This is all very confusing and inconsistent. Given that you obviously have an internet connection, just call the authorities - I assume you have a police force in your country?

None. I was placed in here by my ex-agent Lars, who had vanished two months ago. Attempting to leave could prove dangerous as he has these people who do jobs for him. They might be watching.

Dear Miss Domgaard: I so hope you will not mind my asking, and I do know that this is none of my business, and you may very well think that I am being a nosy, old busybody, but I feel that I must ask, since I seem to be missing something here. Can you please explain what you mean by "ex-agent"? And is Lars "code" for something?

I can't quite explain it, but the shivers that go down my back tell me that you may have been (or are) involved in spy activity, at one time or another. And your comment about people watching has left me feeling a bit uneasy. Now, as for that piece of machinery that you've found, well, it reminds me of something that I once saw on a truly frightening episode of the TV drama series, Hogan's Heroes. And, as I've mentioned, I do acknowledge that this is none of my business, and I have not alerted our beloved (yet), but perhaps your explanation could help to put my mind at ease. And, really, it's not that I'm being intrusive, but it's, well, I just think we cannot be too careful here at . Thank you for understanding, Miss Domgaard.
