Okay. I am actually an atheist. But I don't want to force my beliefs onto any one else. I am only an atheist because I cant recognize that a God made the Earth. Does that mean there isn't one, NO, of course not. For all we know, God may be a girl who likes to cross-dress and is Gay. Is that likely, not very. But I'm not here to tell you how God is just a figment of your imagination. I'm here to tell you that you are a true die-hard Christian, but you're also a dumb-ass. We KILLED ALL THE DINOSAURS!!!???? No! We really didn't! And God is just as unexplained as the Big Bang, which is only one theory and not all atheist believe it happened so don't loop us all together. Where the hell did he come from anyways? What about this, the big bang was the birth of God. God lived his adolescence during the time after the big bang. One day as a child he got bored and decided to make Earth. For a while, what I'm sure felt like 6 days to him, the Earth was formed and BOOM! Life. Little micro organisms living all over the place. The dinosaurs, Gods first play things, got too PMS-Y and he killed them off with an asteroid. He them made man and all his delusions.

And NO We DONT know that the bible is true. You do realize, that in your defense , you didn't state an argument, you restated the fact being discussed, which is a FAIL! Have you ever seen God pick up a pencil, use a pen or keyboard? NO! Then how, all-great-mighty-know-it-all, did God wright the bible. Did he relay his word through a "Prophet"? Think about this. Most of the people in mental institutes are in there because they believe they can talk to God. At the origins of the bible, they could have easily just been insane, but not raving like a mad man, making them a "reliable resource". Your bible very well could've been written by an ordinary person who wanted to see what his friends' reactions would be if he told them that he could talk to god. And to answer your question, we can doubt this, can you gues. That's right, WE'RE ATHEISTS!!! ITS WHAT WE DO! Can we believe it and still call ourselves atheists. One last thing, and this goes to every one, because I have seen some seriously messed up things on this forum, which claims to be church-like, There are plenty of smart, happy atheists, who just happen to get A's on tests, we don't rely on prayers, not saying they don't do anything. Its the same as cheering someone on at a football game. But still. Plenty of atheists eat all of that stuff *cough me cough*. The majority of the debate team is made up of atheists. The only difference between atheists, Christians, Muslims,Wiccans, shit, Satanists, is their religion. I would just like to say that there is a difference between not believing in some of the theories, and being just plane wrong. As we are currently discussing Why Atheists are so miserable, I have decided to start this new thread - to continue my '101 Reasons' Series with '101 reasons why Atheists are WRONG'.

Reason No. 1 - The Holy Bible!

Atheists 'claim' that God doesn't exist, yet the Bible proves them WRONG! I can see the Bible, hold it in my hand, and know 1000% that it exists! As God wrote the Bible, this proves that he MUST EXIST too! How dumb these Atheists are!

Reason No. 2 - Evil-ution from Monkeys!

If we really evolved from monkeys, why do monkeys STILL exist? Surely they would've evolved too? And why don't we have tails or swing from trees or speak in monkey-talk? These atheists must be pretty deluded to believe such nonsense!

Reason No. 3 - The 'Big Bang'

Atheists believe there was a 'Big Bang' which created the Earth and the Universe and all things?? Well, what created the 'Big Bang'?? And what was there before it 'banged'??? Ask ANY atheist - they won't be able to answer you! Why? Because God created the 'Big Bang'! And then went on to create the Earth and everything in just 6 days! Praise Jesus!

Reason No. 4 - Dinosaurs

Most dumb atheists believe that man and dinosaurs didn't inhabit the Earth at the same time. However, we know this to be a LIE! Didn't Noah ride dinosaurs onto the Ark? Aren't Dinosaurs mentioned throughout the Bible?

You can't say that God wrote the Bible without being clear. God didn't WRITE the Bible. He did influence each of the writers but there is no way to be completely certain that what He influenced actually got written down correctly and translated throughout the years.

I am deeply worried about you, Miss Grace. You do not trust God, and - even worse - you do not trust the Holy Ghost. You are referring to manuscripts that derive from different points of time. You are also implying that God was unable to transmit His word in a reliable manner (via the Holy Ghost) to His scribes. And you admit it - you don't think the Bible is reliable. OK. Now you need to explain how you can discern the reliable parts from the unreliable, the ones you have to follow from the ones you can discard. The method should be foolproof and applicable to all believers. For instance, is the following verse reliable?

Psalms 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

For me it tells that the Bible can be trusted and if trusted, it must be followed. If you, however, discard some parts as unreliable, the consequences are alarming and sinister. The result is that you must live in ignorance. Everything becomes only statistical and stochastic. And how can you distinguish the Word of God from heathen fiction? Wouldn't Bhagavad-Gita be as good? Popol Vuh? Avesta? La Chanson de Rollant? What are your criteria? And the worst part is your distrust towards the Holy Ghost. There is an enormous risk that this distrust balances on the verge of blasphemy. That would be irreversible.

I think that you have been seduced by the secular academic theology. They, in turn, have been tested by God and found unworthy. Let me explain. God does test people. He sends out false information to assess, who are easily lured by Satan and who remain faithful. Look at this:

These "Biblical scholars" have taken the bait. They have swallowed the delusion of skepticism. There is a way back that it is a hard one. You should also take it. Pray for forgiveness. Accept your corrupt state. Fear God. Embrace Him entirely. Repent. Get a Baptism. Then there might be some HOPE.

Basilissa, scripture calls them unbelievers under His wrath, if you read Romans chapter one you will see that the unbelievers are deliberately suppressing the truth, they are hypocrites.

Please cite an appropriate verse. (FYI, "appropriate" means "one that really supports what you say").

Joh_3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

That verse contradicts your position, as it clearly separates those who believe (Christians) from those who don't believe (atheists).

Rom_1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

This verse does not support your position either, as it doesn't relate to the question of atheism at all. If you keep reading the same chapter and get three verses down, to Romans 1:21-25, you will clearly see that this passage refers to those who have false religions with their false idols (that would include your favorite, the Catholic Church), and not those who reject all worship/religions.

Sweetie, I understand that your brain has the mental capacity of a 5-year old girl, so I will write it down step by step for you.

1. God created the world, all of it.

2. Therefore, everything in the world - good or bad - is also created by God. In addition to the Isaiah quote above, see:

Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

3. God gives us the set of proper rules to follow, therefore God decides what is a good deed and what is a sin.

4. It is God who decides who will sin and how:

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Ezekiel 20:25-26
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.
