  • Re: Is smoking marijuana a sin?

You're quick on the draw, Brother Bathfire. I was about to give the stoner some infraction points, too, for giving me eye cancer with his wall of text. I'm sure no one else appreciated it, either.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

There is no contradiction in my post. There are many people that abuse marijuana by becoming dependent on it...I am not one of those people.

You claim to be a "frequent marijuana user" but not "a druggie".

That's like claiming to be a black man, but not a Negro. Same thing.

          Drug⋅gie

/ˈdrʌgi/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [druhg-ee] Show IPA –noun Slang. a habitual user of drugs, esp. a narcotic or illicit drug.

The difference between the druggie and I is that I do not have a habit or an addiction. I use it several times a week when I need to relax and just think a little bit.

Are you desecrating your God-Given bodily temple with that filth as you type? I only ask because you wrote, as I quoted, when surely you know that "between" is a preposition that takes the accusative and therefore it should be "between you and me"! Your mind is going!

Look at what you write you cretin! You write that can't relax without drugs! Then you deny that you are hopelessly addicted!

Get real son and seek the real Jesus, He will give you all the relaxation and highs you ever need.

I just want to say thank you to Brother Lazarus for returning a composed and reasonable reply. I apologize for letting my personal feelings get in the way in my post. I should have just focused on the topic at hand, and I will not step out of line again. But regarding the post of Mr. Bathwater, there are a few inaccuracies/false assumptions that I should clear up.
He posts, "Hold on there boy, you’re suggesting there are two sets of people in the world who react differently to dope? One chemical, One subject, 2 distinct reactions? How much did you fail basic science by?"
He fails to realize that while there is but one chemical (THC), there are billions of subjects (not one) that are capable of producing billions of reactions...There are people who use marijuana and people that get used by marijuana. The difference is in one's mindset and willpower. And regarding the "
How much did you fail basic science by?" comment, I graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in pre-professional biology and am currently working on my doctorate degree.
He posts, "but you’ll be doing it whilst thinking that the phrase “A squirrel on a long road” is the most hysterically funny thing you’ve ever heard."
The only thing that I think is funny about that is that you actually used the word "whilst." There are responsible adults who use marijuana in a mature way that does not involve laughing about squirrels.
                He posts, "
                Infant baptism is NOT baptism."
I was not baptized as an infant. I was saved at age 7, and, according to the Bible, I was baptized at age 9 in order to be "buried with him by baptism into death." Romans 6:4
I am just trying to help someone that had a question on this forum. I don't mean to offend anyone, just maybe cast something in a different light.

I pray for your poor patients who will be unknowingly be putting their lives in your hands. They could have picked a better doctor than a hippy stoner.

I'll also say a quick prayer for your employer, that they might uncover your little secret and fire you for violating your professional ethics. Good luck getting work after that.

                        And Mr. Bathfire,
I think it's clearly that I am at least a reasonably intelligent person. It is petty and juvenile to point out a grammatical error before you address the subject matter. And with regards to just one of the many things that you have taken out of context and blown far out of proportion; I do not "need" marijuana to relax...I am perfectly content to enjoy the world that God created without it. I am a full-time student who works a full-time job while maintaining a close relationship with my family that lives a few hours a way from me. It is nice to be able to relax and take a break from that occasionally...Would you not agree?

Friend, I hope you do see the irony of your statement.
                          Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:

I have no secrets. I have made it perfectly clear to my boss that I use marijuana. I am not ashamed of this and it does not effect my performance at work or at school. (My grades have actually slightly improved since I started smoking.)

Why hasn't your boss turned you in to the police?

You can brag about your scofflaw lifestyle and dope addiction all you like. It won't do you any good when satan is anally raping you down in hell for all eternity. You won't think your were so clever then.

I urge you to put down the narcotics and pick up a Bible. Jesus wants you to repent and come back into His Love.

By the way, I am having our security team pass your posts and information on to the DOF and the FBI. Expect a knock on your door when you least expect it.

It's for your own good, friend. After you're Saved(c), you'll thank me for turning you in.

I have been reading my Bible all day today. In particular, passages about hypocrites, false prophets, and pharisees.
And I hope it makes your head swell thinking you have the power to scare me with thoughts of being the recipient of Satan's penis or an FBI raid. Neither will ever happen.
