People like us? You mean people who engage in rational discussion, even when foul-mouthed stoner children invade their church forums and insult them and God?

What is it you despise? Our patience? Or is it the fact that you know we are Saved(c) and you are damned to an eternity in the fiery pits of Hell, which God created specifically for people who reject, disobey, or don't know about Him?

STRAIGHT UP COPTICS FTW! THESE DATE BACK TO SECOND CENTURY BY THE WAY AND I HAVE SEEN THEM MYSELF IN OUR COPTIC EGYPTIAN MUSEUMS!!! SO I DIDN'T MEAN ARABIC, BUT COPTIC, WHICH IS OUR OTHER LANGUAGE THAT ANY EGYPTIAN/ARAB FROM THE CHURCH KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK.

I have news for you pal; Right after Sarah Palin is sworn in as president in 2012, we're going to not only set foot in your stinking cesspool of a "country," we're going to turn it and all the rest of your camel-loving neighbors into a sheet of glass, confiscate your oil reserves, and destroy every copy of that demonic kooran on earth.

Now then, back to the topic at hand....

Yes, smoking marijuana is a sin. Case closed.

I've only just joined this forum, but i can't believe some of the things i've read in this post - "christians" calling each other "Homers" just because they don't agree with their opinions? why don't you try and learn from each other. No, smoking marijuana is not a sin. It was given to us by god, it is a natural plant, check Genesis 9:3 if you forgot. Lots of people across the world smoke marijuana for medicinal purposes, which improves their lives greatly. who are you to say its a sin? jesus didnt say it was. It has an ongoing list of scientifically based arguments for its legalisation as well as a world wide community of christians smoking it. How is a plant made by God "Devils weed"? this all sounds crazy to me, maybe I shouldve picked a nicer forum community to become part of. To be honest, if you all smoked weed maybe you'd behave more christian like to each other.

Marijuana is not a sin. Abusing it is a sin to achieve unholy kicks of pleasure. Marijuana is a plant made by God and everything God makes is to be True.

              Go With Christ.
              John.

You're a fool. Where does the Bible say that "everything that God makes is to be true?" God made evil as well as good.

Have you made a thread of your own in the "introductions" section yet? I'd love to hear your story.

Look, I'm not trying to be with or against anyone here. First of all, I'm Christian and a Coptic Orthodox (we strictly fast 250 days of the year) I'm against the fact that because God created Marijuana then it's healthy and not bad for you. But in fact, I really think Marijuana shouldn't be treated as "Satanic Drug" just because it is illegal.
I've read several pages on this thread and found many of you just don't really know any "real" facts about Marijuana. You are saying that people who are taking Marijuana for medical purposes should be praising God instead of smoking/eating this drug... So why do you go to a doctor when do you have a flu and just praise God seeking for treatment?
Marijuana is prescribed for people who suffer from insomnia, AIDS, cancer, nausea, etc…. Do you think that a plant that could sometimes be described for patients are evil and will kill you? I really don't think so. It doesn't lead you to satanic thoughts or make you an Anti-Christ type of people or anything. I know some people that smoke Marijuana that knew God just by smoking (they claim it let them have a kind of ‘spiritual experience’) and they stopped smoking.
And by the way it doesn't kill you, and that has been proven from many sources. Sooner or later it will be legal and you have to accept that fact because it's healthier than cigarettes and alcohol. Also, I'm sure many Christians smoke cigarettes; does that make them 'evil' people? Or just because it is legal, you let it pass? And, please let me know if anyone in the history has been prescribed to take nicotine as treatment for his health problems.
Don't be closed-minded people, and yet again I’m not trying to offend anyone here. If you want that other people believe in Jesus just like you do, how can they open their thoughts and opinions to you if you are a closed-minded type of people?
Here are some videos that show you some more real facts about Marijuana and yes they do cite their sources. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=37C27950D1598E43
P.S: I'm not going against anybody's opinion or anything. I don't smoke Marijuana but did many researches on it.

This has been addressed several times already in the thread: Marijuana is illegal. If you smoke it, you are breaking the law. If you break the law, you are going against the Word of God. Let's forget for a moment that there is only anecdotal evidence that marijuana has medicinal benefits, that smoking marijuana increases your chances of becoming psychotic (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=af2_1216060115), and that marijuana can have a detrimental effect on lifestyle choices (becoming a liberal hippie). If you are really a Christian, please justify how you can advocate going against the Word of God. Have you decided that your word is somehow superior to God's Word?

And, the way you are replying to me just doesn't prove anything and just shows how closed-minded you are.
Instead of saying that what I'm saying is useless and rubbish, defend your point of view by telling me why do you find it 'rubbish'?
And by the way, go do some researches by replying saying that's why all people are thin in Africa. First, most africans aren't Coptic Orthodox. Second, I wanted just to show you how strict my Church is. Oh by the way, in order to receive the Holy Light from the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem, it must be an ORTHODOX Archbishop. http://www.holyfire.org/eng/velich.htm May be that prooves something, don't you think?
