  • Secular laws vs God's laws

Obviously, God is above the government (which, at times, seems so secular that it almost seems Satanic). However, we are ordered by God to follow secular laws as well. So when His laws and secular laws conflict, which one am I to follow? I would love to stone disobedient children or kill gays and obey God's words, but secularists prohibit it. Please help!

Thou shalt not kill, good sir. God has a way of appointing those that may: the Legendary Judges. You are not one of them; please put down the rifle.

We're not all destined to be eternally remembered in a sacred book among heroes such as the Kings, the Judges and the Prophets, and even The Man Himself; we're not all appointed to a task which requires special acquittance from His Ten Ground Rules For Living A Good Life.

Try to handle some humility in your efforts to prove your worth to Him.

        Hello.

The verse you could not find:

Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

            This might help.
            Romans 13: 1-7
1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

            Your brother in Christ, NC.
Jesus, I'm never going to give you up! Jesus, I'm never going to let you down!
Jesus, I'm never going to run around and desert you!
Jesus, I'm never going to make you cry! Jesus, I'm never going to say goodbye!
Jesus, I'm never going to tell a lie and hurt you!

Well that was a wonderful post Negative.

Of course we TRUE Christians understand that the correct thing to do is take over the government, legally, and then change those awful laws that discriminate against living a proper Biblical lifestyle in imitation of Christ.

Don't you think the United States would be such a wonderful place if we were all Christians Negative?

I'm not an American unfortunately, though I aspire to be more Christ-like every day and have even memorised parts of the Pledge of Allegence

It was my understanding that Christians do take over the government legally every 4 or 8 years? Being so far away it is hard for me to stay up to date with such things, perhaps you could shed some more light on the matter?

Well we had control of it until Obama stole it away from us with that underhand trick of playing games with the electoral collage so it included states that don't normally count. However we are wise to Obama now and we will be back in power in 2012.
