And when were you in the scene? When it first started? In the 80s? A lot of music scene involved drugs back then,
not just the Goth scene. Unlike some other scenes, Goth has moved away from this over the years. The Goths who
were around back in the day have mostly (the ones I know or have talked to) moved away from drugs, and the majority
of younger Goths are not into it. Most of the Goth scene is pretty ashamed of the drugs back in the day, but most
of the people into the scene today are too young to have been around then, so really have nothing to be ashamed of.
But they are. Because it is our scene. And we do feel badly when something bad does happen within the scene.
As I said before, TODAY drugs are not permitted in most Goth clubs or concerts. Anyone found to be doing drugs or
trafficking drugs are promptly removed and either warned, or if it is not a first offense, banned. I know Club Orpheus
does not allow it, nor has any Goth club I have been to. We also remove people for drama or violence, or "creeping"
on women.

Actually yes, wearing black IS a form of self expression. If you like what you're wearing, that is self expression.
And depending on what the black you are wearing is, it can also be a form of modesty. Wearing black is more
modest than wearing bright vulgar colours. Just ask the puritans or the Amish.

A lot of men also wear black because it makes it easier to do laundry if
everything is one colour, or because a lot of men are colour blind. I used to be friends with a non-Goth who
wore black because he actually both red/green and yellow/blue colour blind. It's very rare to be both, but it
does happen. If you are colour blind, it can be easier just to get all black or all of something you can see,
so you don't end up walking around in colours that don't match.

But as I have said before, most real Goths actually wear a variety of colour and a lot of it. Google image search
any Goth festival or club, and you will find plenty of pictures of people in colour. Try Wave Gotik Treffen
for example. A lot of the people who attend Renaissance Festivals are also Goths. How often do you see all
black at a Renn Fest? Go to any Gothic Clothing store online and you will usually find a lot of clothing in colour
as well. White is also very popular in the Goth scene.

Now I do not approve of every outfit in the Goth scene, and I am not the only one. Some outfits are too skimpy.
But you will find that anywhere, Goth does not have to be skimpy. A lot of Goths base their clothing on historical
clothing. Do you have a problem with historical fashion? And while most Goths are skinny, the few who are fat,
historic fashion is usually more flattering on them, as long as they wear the right size or a corset with it.

Grindcore is not Goth music, that's actually one of the genres that seemes to be disliked by a lot of Goths.

You might want to invest in a dictionary. Pagan is a religion, or rather an umbrella term for pre-Christian religions. A heathen is an uncivilized person. Modern Pagans are not heathens, and the idea that a lot of Pre-Christian Pagans were heathens was a misconception of the church.
