Um, sorry. I don't necessarily want children at the moment; I'm not mature enough to handle life on my own, let alone raise a child.

Nobody is. But we are not on our own are we.

God is with us every step of the way. In every situation He makes known to us what we should do. That information is found in The Bible. What women should do, what men should do.

And what children should do.

Why are you afraid to read The Bible? Perhaps you already know what you will find. If you already know, why not Read It.

Then you will be able to re-evaluate your study & career path in the Light of what God teaches us so clearly. And if you decide to continue you will know what you're doing, why you're doing it and what you hope to achieve. God's Word never changes. Its message is clear. And it challenges you to make a decision.

I use "um" and "uh" quite often because usually, I don't know what to say.

Here's a tip for you.

When I was quite a bit younger than you, if I said "uh", my mother said "duuuuuuh", because it gives the same impression . . . that you're stupid.

Now, when you hear someone on TV (or a classmate) saying "uh" a lot, you will start to hear "duh" instead, and you will understand what she meant.

While speaking, it is not necessary to continually produce sound, and use "uh" or other non-words as filler. A brief pause to collect your thoughts makes you appear reflective, rather than retarded. Rub your chin thoughtfully; glance out the window for a moment; look at your notes. Whatever works to buy you the approximately one-half second that you're getting by saying "uh".

The same goes for "like". You don't say "like" every three words, like, do you? Because, like, that makes you sound, like, like a dimwitted bimbo.



Now that we've corrected two of the worst speaking problems of your generation . . . How's that Bible study coming along?

Why in the name of God would you want to sound "less.. straightforward"? I'll never understand you atheists. Seriously, it's like you want to seem stupid.

Because, like I said before, I'm bordering on Social Anxiety Disorder - some serious socially awkwardness. A lot of the time, I feel as though I'll say something wrong, I'll say the wrong thing, someone'll get mad at me, they won't like me. I don't like to sound straightforward because if you don't sound straightforward, you might have time to turn around what you're saying if you see disappointment or something, in someone. I don't know. It makes sense in my head; I don't have to explain it to you. And it has nothing to do with my religion, it has to do with a disorder.

I hate awkward silences. Everything is awkward when you're talking to me in person. I need something to fill those silences. I feel like, if I don't, they'll take it that I don't want to talk to them, or I don't know what I'm saying. I don't control it, it's socially awkwardness/borderline SAD (social anxiety disorder). I hate it when people don't say something back to me, they disapprove of what I'm saying, it makes them start to not like me. I don't like to not be liked, it makes me feel left out. Well, as I said before, it makes sense in my head, and it probably didn't come out very clearly just now but.. hey, it's not like I need to explain my reasoning to you.

I say "like" sometimes as a filler. Makes things sound less intense. I say it sometimes, when I'm thinking up a word that'll fit. Don't put filler in your sentences, either. It makes you sound stupid.

The sooner you can break the habit, the better you'll do in the job market. This all depends on what meaning of "Goth" you're referring too. If you mean goth as in someone who dresses in an great extent in black clothing and wear. Then I say it's that persons life-style and we really don't have much business in telling them what they should and shouldn't wear. While i'm not a goth, i do take some comfort in the colour black. Does that mean i'm evil? I like to think i'm not. Of course i could be wrong.

You're confusing them (or trying to co-opt the name, as you did with architecture, above) with the Romantic Movement (who, oh yeah, almost never wore black).

Fashion, yes, and just as permanent and meaningful. What would you call a movement that enforces standards of dress, deportment, and thought, and punishes differences with ostracization, or even alienation from the community? I'd call it a cult.
