Well...what do I say. I only stumbled upon this forum today, and this thread in particular. I admit I only read the first 6 pages, then skipped through, but I felt I got the general info. I would love to go through quoting on previous comments, but feel I would be here all day!! So...I am a Christian, I believe in the bible and I am constantly striving to earn my pass into Heaven. This thread however has bought a lump to my throat! Basically a man found his wife pleasuring herself in the shower; perhaps the issue should be why she feels she has to. She has every right to her own private time!!! Then I read someone posted (not an exact quote) punch her in her pregnant stomach, and someone then went on to explain why this isn’t illegal. I’m sorry to burst your bubble people, BUT THAT IS ILLEGAL!! Its called abuse! Why do you think we have shelters and safe houses for beaten, and abused (mentally and physically) women! Men who beat there wife’s / partners / girlfriends are MONSTERS and you ARE GOING TO HELL!!!!!! Don’t you people see, our faith is one of peace, not punching / beating our loved ones. I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves. I would love to list some web sites to help said women out, but feel they would only be deleted, as I’m sure my account will be. My advice to the women who are going through this horrendous abuse is to contact a help group and get yourself out and away from your abusive, controlling, sad excuse of a man, husband!! Leave him!!! Once again I hope each and every one of you who has hit or abused your partner is thoroughly ashamed, your not men, your boys fighting for control! I for one have never EVER raised my hand to my partner. She and I trust each other and love each other totally! Its people like you who give our faith a bad name!!! I hope you all take something from this and change your ways. So….to all the real Christians, who know the real meaning of our faith...I will hopefully one day see you all on the other side of the pearly gates. Typical sexist rant. One of our former members who I must admit is going to Hell is being abused, but you only say women are victims. Sissy men with no back bone can be victims too!

I am by no means a sexist! I agree with you 110% men also recieve abuse from there partners. These are not "sissy men" as you call them. Over the past 10 years abuse towards men has increased, again mentally and physically, and it is a big problem. Once again, we should all learn abuse is not the answer!!! Peace and love to all.

They listened to me, When my Exhusband beat me so savagely I was hospitalized for nearly a month. He was also barred from coming around my children and the hospital, Of course shortly afterward the offense he was locked up and held without bond. Law of the land doesn't condone domestic violence. By the way I did NOTHING but exactly what he asked me to and still got the crap beat out of me. Nobody was more perfect a wife than I was and he was just impossible to please.
Now, He's paying for his sins, His son won't have anything to do with him, He has no wife, and he is dying from multiple health concerns that had he done what the doctors and the Lord asked of him he wouldn't be dying from. I pray for his soul in judgement, but I have no sympathy for him, He's reaping what he sowed.

I find your claim very hard to swallow. You must've done something so outrageous and wrong to warrant him blowing his top like that and beating you so severely.

Like I said I pray for his soul everyday, but I ca not condone what e did when all I was doing was what the Bible instructed me to do and that was to submit unto my husband. I tried to follow what the doctor had told him and all I got was abuse. The courts helped me push my divorce through and I also talked with my Pastor who after seeing the pictures of my injuries agreed that I was justified in filing for divorce and therefore wen I met my current husband he had no problem uniting us in the eyes of the Lord. I finally found an awesome man who treats me the way I wish to be treated. With love and respect.
