We don't make our wives bitter. They know their places.

At least you understand that there are people God hates. You're one step ahead of most of the unsaved we get here.

We have given you scriptural direction. If you really need to know more, I suggest taking the scripture to your local Baptist minister, or sending a PM to a Pastor/Minister here.

If you want a woman's perspective, might I suggest Talitha (she is a Deaconess), or BelieverInGod?

Doesn't the Bible talk allot about Love?
It never speaks of a girlie crying romantic love. That is a late invention. The love the Bible most often speaks (agape) of is an uneven love. The love between a deity and His creations. We are to love and fear Him despite what He might do to punish us. No matter what, He demands our love first and foremost.

Beating your wife does not show love. Hurting anyone actually is the opposite of love. And God teaches that husbands should love their wives and to put their wife's life before his own.

          A woman is not a man's property.
1st Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1st Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1st Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1st Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

You father would have beaten some sense in to you if he would have loved you.
I hope your husband will do this in the future as it is clear that you were raised without love.

That acutally made me laugh. No, my husband would love and respect me, as God would want him to. And besides, if any man were to lay a hand on me, I would retaliate. I've had a LOT of love in my life and am confident enough to say this on a message board that is full of misogynists.

21 "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." Meaning to put each other first. No one has authority over the other.

Stop talking nonsense and start reading the Bible.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Yet you have no respect for anyone else. You come waltzing into our board which clearly says "unsaved unwelcome" then into the mens section to tell us about things that you don't understand. You're not even married!

Maybe after ten years of marriage, you'll understand your position in life, but until then, I think you should work on your skills as a housekeeper, not a mouthpiece.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

                            Hello there,

I´m just curious about something, what if the wife loves to be beatten?? That´s my case, I love my husband to hit me, harder and good, I can really reach an orgasm very fast with the pain, and the belt is my favourite. But he doesn´t enjoy it, in fact the only reason he does it is to please me.

Maybe I should have married one of you guys!

                                Re: Discipline Of The Wife

This truly is an inspirational thread, so many wise words. Alas too late for me.

You may have read that my harlot of a wife strayed from my home and my love to seek out another. I know this was because of weakness on my part. If I had paid more attention and read the wise words within this thread then I might have been able to discipline her properly and therefore stop her from straying.

I have received letters from her asking me to 'take her back'. However, I now realise that to do this I need to show her discipline. I have purchased a rosewood cane (no thicker than my little finger), but before I make the next move I would like some advice, should I forgive her for her sin? what should I do with the homer soccer player whom she has knowledge of? Should I go to his club and confront him, or is all this sin down to my wife and my lack of discipline?
                                Matthew 10:34
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
