What on Earth has the Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) got to do with this stupid but extremely harmful video game? Of course, it is annoying, but still.

Thoracic outlet syndrome is a group of disorders that occur when blood vessels or nerves in the space between your collarbone and your first rib (thoracic outlet) are compressed. This can cause pain in your shoulders and neck and numbness in your fingers.
Common causes of thoracic outlet syndrome include physical trauma from a car accident, repetitive injuries from job- or sports-related activities, certain anatomical defects (such as having an extra rib), and pregnancy.

Actually, sorry, my bad. Excessive gaming (sport) is included in the etiology. Seems that is is among the many sin-derived ailments that could be cured so easily.

Interestingly, the extra rib is mentioned among the many causes of this manifestation of sin (TOS) in the citation above. I must dwell upon this for a bit, as this must be among one of the worst birth defects that sinful ancestors can transmit to their offspring (Exodus 20:5). We know that men by Biblical definition have fewer ribs than women.

By opposing this wonderful act of Creation that started the cycle of begetting, the sinners who suffer from this condition must be among the ones punished in the most severe manner in Hell. I am now quite certain that many players of this game may harbor extra ribs.

Everything is about your Spiritual health, that is often manifested as "birth defects" that are caused by the sins of your forefathers. This Site has everything to do with that! All our threads are about the desperate need of the Sinners to find Jesus Christ in the correct manner (Ecclesiastes 12:13). The practical method for this Magnificent Effort is to show the sinning majority how their everyday activities (such as excessive gaming instead of 1 Thessalonians 5:17) oppose Jesus and cause them to lose any Spiritual health.

It's all about that!

We're here to glorify Jesus and worship Him and all the posts here are targeted at that wonderful goal. This may make life here on Earth seem blend and exhausting to you, but that is totally unimportant. The only thing that matters is Eternity and how to make people see the Light that is Jesus (John 1:5).

Jesus has told us personally to work this way! We are the last remaining shining light of Hope and Glory on this sin-ridden Creation (Romans 8:22).

Hi. Thank you for showing an interest. We (rational humans) require some sort of supporting material when claims are made. It doesn't need to be very good, just the act of looking for something trains the thought processes and a gentle comment that what's proffered is not very persuasive often encourages a more discriminating enquiry. That can only be beneficial.

I'll give a quick example. Say I claimed "all lions have wings" and just stopped there. Now if you'd never seen a lion would you take my word for it?

Imagine you're trapped in a pit. There is a lion. Eventually you'll both tire of the novelty. "I'll be OK," you'd think. "All lions have wings it will fly out of the pit." In reality, a reality you should have determined by looking for evidence of claims, lions don't have wings. Then it eats you.

EXAMPLE

Believing that lions are friendly and even if they're not by offering oneself for marriage duties one would surely earn the protection due to a spousal partner an unnamed moron leaps into the lions enclosure. See how he offers himself! Surely the lion will succumb! Well the lion may share the Overwatch standard for matrimony but then you'd not only be dealing with an amorous lion but a jealous lioness to boot. Would she eat the moron before or after the connubial event? Or both eat him together.

Neither lion was going to fly out out of the enclosure to avoid social embarrassment and both of them had to be shot. Seems like a waste of lions to me but there it is and here is a news report of the occasion; there are others if you do a search:

Waiting for sub-rationals to present evidence supporting claims might seem like an eternity but it's nothing compared to the real thing. And my eternity is at stake here.

Am I following a text that's changed a lot over the past 1,000 years? I don't think so but that is the claim.

Should I give up on The Bible and switch to The Upanishads or the ravings of MacGregor Mathers? As it stands The Bible is clear. Such blasphemies lead directly to Hell. Its torments and its gnashing teeth and it's time to put me out of my misery.

Can The Bible be trusted or not? That is the issue here. And to determine its veracity the skills of critical thinking are essential. I hope the information in this thread show how to approach the question.

You don't have to agree with The Bible, obviously if you don't you are not a Christian, but first it's necessary to know A what it says and B if it's true.

The answer is obvious once you read it but as with all topics in order to mount a CREDIBLE challenge you MUST SHOW EVIDENCE FOR YOUR POSITION.

The point of the sacrifice is that--according to the Bible--God requires a blood offering to wash away sins. Animal blood during the Temple period couldn't do the job permanently. The job could only be completed once and for all by a sinless offering, which is where Jesus comes in.


Now, where Jesus goes out, as in dying--and why that amounts to any kind of sacrifice at all, what with Him knowing that He would be resurrected and all-- you have to remember that Jesus didn't have to experience the pain of mortal death; He chose to.


I know that movie with Tom Cruise makes dying seem kind of like just falling asleep and coming back the way Bill Murphy did in Groundhog Day (basically the same movie, but one has more guns) but from what I hear, it's actually a little less pleasant.


Tell you what--why don't you volunteer to be tortured and killed, and we will have doctors on hand to revive you immediately. Then you can tell us if feeling your life force drain from you is no biggie.


Also the point of the Bible is to have faith, if it could be proven, who in their right mind wouldn't choose a get out of hell free card?

If you don't think that being crucified on a cross to death is not a sacriice then you obviously have never experienced the kind of pain that Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself experienced.

He put Himself through that pain so that He could bear the wages of Our Sin against Him for being being born sinners in His Image.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
