And of course michele did NOT address the fact that a Psychology PhD links video game violence with actual violence...

Changing the subject is a FALLACY.

i have never used a gun yet i know how to handle one.
i didnt get this experience from playing games i got it from reading books. i could handle a gun safely and responsibly

so because your son didnt like what he saw you hit him.

i've finally figured out what it is you all do to make your children think the way you do.

have you ever heard of conditioning?

Comparing shooting animals for fun and disciplining children versus the senseless violence wreaked upon innocent people due to video game influence is comparing apples and oranges.

We've already shown verses saying we must discipline our children sternly. Corporal punishment helps correct youth so they don't grow up to be unruly, sinning, God-hating miscreants. As well, we can shoot animals for fun because hunting is a Godly activity and the Bible itself tells us we have power over them (and can do whatever we want).

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

There's nothing wrong with getting together with some of your church buddies to go out in the wilderness and take out a buck with a .308 rifle, or use a pump shotgun to knock out some waterfowl. And if you want your children to play with guns, it's better to take them on hunting trips with you instead of letting them play with guns on video games. Children learn respect quickly with guns when they see how destructive they could be.

When my son was 8 years old, I took him hunting. I shot a buck, but not too cleanly, since it was lying on the ground moaning in pain, bleeding everywhere. He saw the animal and started to cry. I gave him a beating to toughen him up and chastized him for being a wimp.

Nowadays my son is a Godly man who respects guns and isn't afraid to correct his own kids, thanks to my parental sacrifices.

That is only in very extreme circumstances. And since you claim to have read the Bible you are probably familiar with what the Bible has to say about this:

Proverbs 13:24 "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Proverbs 23:13-14 "Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

It seems part of your comment is based on you not knowing what the Bible actually says. You could consider reading it so you could get an informed opinion on the matter.

How often to you beat the boy? Not often enough, I'd say.
The Holy Bible tells us to beat our children hard and often. Don't worry about hurting them. You may break a few bones and cause some brain damage, but it isn't going to kill them. And even if they do die, they'll be better off. They'll thank you in heaven for beating the hell out of them.

so is what pastor ezekiel says true? its ok to beat your children to the point of breaking bones and brain damage? or is he saying dont worry about hitting them hard. if you break bones or cause brain damage it will heal?

brain damage doesnt heal...... and broken bones on children start making the authorities ask questions like: why is this childs arm broken??

    just like to point out.

pretty much every true christian (on this forum) believes its ok to hit children and shoot animals.

the true christians in this forum are saying that video games make violent people and some of you have said "ever notice how after playing the game the killing doesnt seem so bad?"

surely if you all follow the bible and you all shoot animals (for fun) and beat your children surely its the bible that causes violence not games? the bible has been round longer than games i believe (by about what? 1900 years?)

i play games. i have never been in a fight, never beaten a child, never killed an animal for fun. who's the violent one here then? you can say its been done in the name of god all you like that doesnt change the fact you have beaten your child and you have killed an innocent animal. that animal will have had children of their own and you have taken that away from them.
