Have you heard of popularity? Did you know that Korea is one of the top video playing countries? Are you going to ban them from the world? Are you going to say that Jesus and God will smite them for playing something digital?

It doesn't surprise me the slightest. It seems like these nintendo companies try to outdo each other every year by making the content more shocking and lurid. Even though I've never heard of this game, I would totally support a ban on this.

Skyrim's not by Blizzard.... it's by Bethesda.
I'm a Christian, and I'm a gamer, and I'd just like to put in speculation and advice about games.
At least I have the decency to actually research games and other media before I bash it.
And by the way, Blizzard doesn't post information about anyone online. Most of the ID stuff isn't required, and the stuff that is can be hidden through Privacy Settings, just as Facebook does with their profiles.

I have yet to see you follow the prescribed course of action to create an introduction thread detailing (not summarizing) why you are here, what your favorite Bible verse is, where you go to church, and how you can assume that GOD would have you waste time playing the video games.

Video games are the same as movies, or tv, or music. They're just to entertain you. It's something I like to do. Not only am I here because I'm a Christian, I'm also here because there are some.... misunderstandings regarding games here on this forum that I'd like to clear up.

Well, generally game developers try to reach the broadest audience possible. This is done by making sure it can be enjoyed by a variety of people, regardless of race, country, sex, religion, etc. It's the same as any advertising. For example, have you ever seen a food advertisement saying 'Don't wanna be gay? Eat (Food title here)' or 'Eating (food title here) is for cool white people!'? No? Exactly. Games try not to target a single audience of religion or race or anything, because that'd be pointless when you could simply make a game that would have a target audience of a large variety. That's why you don't see many Bible video games these days: Video gaming has become so widely accepted that a bible video game would have very small chance of selling well, because so many people play, and not everyone is a Christian. This doesn't make the developers BAD PEOPLE because they don't focus their game on God. It makes them SMART BUSINESS people because they know that a Bible game wouldn't sell well enough to make the company survive the ever growing game industry.

While I agree that some parts have become rather sad, such as the fact that Call of Duty has pretty much dominated the market since 2007 by releasing the same game every year with new maps, guns, and a new title. But the games are at least somewhat fun, and it's with reason that it sells well.
I've actually yet to see a single military shooter (aside from Counter-Strike just because it displays Terrorists outside of the stereotype turban-donning arab that many of the members here have seemed to take as fact) called out here. Modern Warfare 2 was okay for portraying thousands of innocent, unarmed people killed in a Russian airport by a Russian attempting to spark World War 3 between Russia and the United States, because he knew that a CIA agent undercover with him was American and planned to kill him and leave his body behind as evidence? (VIOLENT FOOTAGE REMOVED ) It's okay that Modern Warfare 3 has a scene in which a family on Vacation is killed by a gas attack, killing the mother, father, and little girl as you're forced to film it with a camera? (Internet's going too slow to find a video right now. Stupid Verizon Fios router.) But as soon as a developer does something new and innovative, such as Portal's idea, it gets magically interpreted as sexual content?

I can understand not wanting every second to be wasted on games, yes. But I don't get the general hatred of games. I don't get why you go out of your way to find sexual references in games which are infact, NOT THERE.

I am now starting to seriously doubt your literacy.

I've said it multiple times: I both play games and read the bible. I go to church every sunday and wednesday ( I didn't go Wednesday nor am I going tomorrow this week, because my dad is currently recovering from surgery and it would be nearly impossible to get him to church.). I'm not obsessed with games. It's just something I like to do in my spare time. While reading the bible is important, it's not a sin to do other things now and then. I'm an A-B student at my school, I read quite often (currently reading a 1000+ page book, almost finished. I'm not even gonna name it because I know you're just going to bash it for containing magic.) and I play games too.
