Video Games such as Minecraft are normally played out of boredom. So apparantly, I will be going to hell because I played minecraft, angry birds, and portal 2? That makes no sense at all.

Actually, you will be going to Hell for ignoring God's Word and also for being an apathetic slacker who can find nothing better to do with his all-too-brief time on Earth than to play video games.

I can't say that I understand this position at all. A Christian would be working to ensure he is pleasing God; a Humanist, thinking that in at most another 70 years he will simply cease to exist, would be making the most of his brief life and trying to make a positive impact. You're not even a Hedonist, who would spend his time trying to squeeze the most pleasure out of life.

First, you said you play video games "out of boredom". This means you have nothing better to do with your short time on Earth.

Then, you said you don't play games all the time, but when you've come home from a long hard day of going to school and you're tired. This directly conflicts with your statement that you play video games because you are bored.

Now, you're once again saying that you don't play video games when you're tired, but that you 'don't have much to do' before you start college. So, once again, you're back to boredom, and not having anything worthwhile to do with your short life. You could be praying, or reading the Bible, or volunteering at a homeless shelter. But no, you're playing video games because you're 'bored'.

As for you not being Christian? If you don't follow God's Commands, you aren't Christian. Going to church once in a while no more makes you a Christian than sitting in a garage once in a while makes you a car.

Im sorry but if i would have used anything else as an analogy you would have thought it was bad. The point is just because something is used for something bad doesnt mean what was used was bad.
