Thank you, yes this is what i'm trying to say. There are alot of gray areas. I would like to mention that the bible being a story told over generations may have flaws and that it cannot be taken completely to the point. You must allow room for some interpretation. A portion of the bible is comprised of "eye witness stories". As we all know not everything can transcend history perfectly intact, even if it is written word. Embellishment and mis-translation is always a possibility over thousands of years. The childrens game of telephone is a perfect example. You start one side with a saying or phrase and one by one the message is passed around the circle. More times than not by the time the message is received by the final child it has been altered whether it be a single word or entirely. By the way I received your infraction notice and I wasn't trying to provide a base for "unsaved trash" but instead was trying to provide encouragement to those of us in the world who can utilize their creative talents. If you read my post no where did I declare that this forum should be used to post such things.

The Bible tells us differently though. It says the Word of God has been preserved for us.

Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Psalm 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Furthermore, we are to take the Bible literally.

2nd Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

When you start twisting the Bible, you are opening up problems. First off, you are essentially changing what God is saying to what you are saying. It is arrogant to believe that you are greater than God. Second, if some parts of the Bible are wrong, who is to say that all of it isn't wrong as well? If the Bible is wrong about a burning bush or talking animals, then maybe it's wrong about Jesus Christ dying for our sins, or Heaven....or forgiving others? It's the road to atheism and dangerous thinking.

You are correct, who is to say the bible is true or false. My faith nor yours holds that right and only those who thousands of years ago transcribed the lords word do.

You also make a valid point here as well it is not of any private interpretation but in fact the interpretation of all. By having one single religion say they are right is incorrect as your religion is just one of many that utilize the good book.

The lords word has not passed but in fact transcended thousands of years. As we are all human the chance for small errors is very high certainly being a human yourself you can understand this.

hi all

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES



as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

hope this helps parents out so your child doesn't stray far from god!

2. It's not blantent sexuality. It would be blantent if he said "HAVE ROUGH GAY SEX WITH ME DOCTOR". He says he loves the doctor because he is appreciating the healing from the medic, not some form of homosexuality. Plus, when he says get behind him, it refers to the fact that they are under fire from enemies and that the heavy (thats the speaker) can take more damage, so it is a tactically correct to find cover.

3. When one character refers to his world, it's not a reference to God-hood at all. That particular character had studied war most of his life and had even been in world war 2. War is in his blood. War is his world, not the earth itself. He says this to establish that these fights are his fights, because he is the superior fighter.

4. Your son can just reinstall the game. Steam saves all the key sets that allow someone to own a game. All you made him to is just have to re-install it before he can play it again.

I do agree that your son shouldn't play the game, but only because he is too young for it, as well as the adult community that plays it does not appreciate children on their so called playground.

One more thing to say here: The reason that Jesus is as revered and worshiped as he is, is that he is the son of God. How do you know this? Because Mary was a virgin.

Now, we all know that words' meanings change over long periods of time. Off the top of my head, an example would be that "gay" does not mean"joyful, happy" anymore, it refers to homosexuals.

After doing some digging around, I've come to find that the definition of "virgin" has changed over time too. When the Bible was written, the word virgin did not mean "someone who has not had sex," it referred to "a woman who was not married."

This means that Joseph may very well have had sex with Mary before the pregnancy... and that Joseph, not God, is the father of Christ. Jesus is not a divinity or demigod, but a man.

So, he was human, and kept his head down and did his work and was relatively normal until about 30 or so. Then he started spreading his message that he was the son of God, the messiah.

No one will know of he truly believed he was in fact the son of God, but if he did, I would diagnose a case of schizophrenia and call it a day.

I listen to christian rock music, like Skillet and Owl City. I am on the honor roll in all of my classes, which are all honors, AP, and IB ones. I have a 136 IQ. I like to swim, and can run 8 miles without stopping.

And you know what? The world hasn't stopped spinning, the sun still comes up each morning, and I still haven't been sent straight to the burning depths of hell.

And I would never judge someone as you do based on their religion or ethnicity or sexuality.

No one gets banned for hating God. No one. You will get banned, however, for cursing, pornography, hate speech, racism, trolling, threats, insults, spam, and other things. Just like any other forum on the internet.

Certainly I would know more about how this site operates than some unsaved noob with only 9 posts.
