hi all

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES



as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

hope this helps parents out so your child doesn't stray far from god!

All of your arguments are extremely invalid.

First of all, they're supposed to look threatening. This is game about fighting, you noodle.
The quotes Heavy says are 1. "I love you, doctor!" him thanking and complimenting the Medic healing him, 2. "Get behind me, doctor!" telling the Medic to get behind so when he rushes the enemy he doesn't die.


Soldier saying, "This is my world! You are not welcome in my world!" is what he says when he dominates (i.e. kills them more than a few times) them, implying they should probably just change classes or leave the game because they're garbage at it.


I see this way too much on the Internet. "vIDeo GaMEs cAuSE vIOLeNCE!!!!11!!!!1!1ONE!!!" They do not, they never have.
Your son fighting at school is a result of some predicament, NOT this game.
I've played for years, and I've never gotten into fights about it. Sure, me and my pals argue over it every now and again, but's that's called "having an opinion".


Really, now, I see a lot of people in this post supporting this woman's claim, when it's nonsensical, unsupported, and just right-out wrong.
Lots of you people seem like very nice men and women, yet here you are-
wasting your brain cells supporting this unrealistic claim on an innocent game.


If you think TF2 is bad, go bash Overwatch, or GTA, or ANY GAME THAT HAS EVER EXISTED EVER.

I'll talk in a clear way for you.

"Phrases that are said to keep the medic safe": Okay, so I have served in the military so I actually have experience, unlike you. No one and I am completely honest, that no one in the military shouts "Get behind me!" They say "Get back." or "Take Cover!".
The game's creator are Christians? I'm guessing the same Christians who think the Pope is the word of God? Only people who fell to the Catlicks' (Catholic, in case you do not know.) traps claim themselves as True Christians if they listen to the Pope, not Our Lord himself.

Hold up, hold up, hold UP. Now lemme explain some things. The Heavy says "Get behind me doctor!" When the doctor/Medic ubercharges him. An ubercharge is when the medic heals enough people or just follows a heavy around and gains a full charge. Then, when activated, the ubercharge gives the Heavy invulnerability for a few seconds, as well the Medic himself. But they can still be knocked back. KNOCKED BACK is the key phrase or words here. An enemy pyro, soldier, or demoman can still knock them back, and potentially knock the Heavy away from the medic and, well, the Heavy is then dead because of his Medic getting blown away from him, therefore losing his invincibility. Getting behind him may lower the chances of the Medic getting knocked away from the Heavy, and would maximize the Uber's success. Also, women exist in this game, and if you look at the comics, straight relationships are seen.
