No one *deserves* to live, dear. That's the whole point. We all deserve eternal torture the likes of which make a stint at Guantanamo Bay look like a Club Med vacation. We deserve naught but eternal pain, physically, mentally, and emotionally. We deserve the worst the Mighty Lord can throw at us for having the audacity to have been born human with a Sin Nature that is both beyond our control and integral to our identity.

But Jesus suffered temporary death over the long weekend some 2000 years ago to give us the Gift of Salvation. This gift is 100% free and only costs your soul, your free will, your very sense of self. These things are eternal, so you'll want to put them in the best care possible and that means the church's. What can TF2 do for your eternal soul?

I might be late, but i must respond to this monstrousity you just said, yes, gore and blode, explosions, decapitation etc. It might be terrifying to see this but really, tf2 is not something that bad. Stuff like ("i love this doctor!") and ("get behind me doctor!") are pretty wierd without someone explaining to you what it really means. the class "Heavy" wich says these lines are kinda understandable, the Heavy will say (first one) beacuse he helps him so much. Yea, it seems wierd to say so, but if someone helps you like how much tf2 has lived (10 years) it is kinda understandable, also (second one) is a quote you might say... ("behind me doctor! i will protect you!") not ("behind me doctor! let's have some time ") also, Solider says ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") he meant the country/personal space. I myself have tf2 and i LOVE the creativity, with over 500 items or whatever, you might waste money on these items, but really, their like toys, you pay for them, you use them. The HHH is based on "The Headless Horseman" you loved it! (Maybe) you also liked watching gore your kids do what you do. If you don't watch gore, they won't (unless they find it.)

You are approximately seven years and 3300 posts too late. The matter has been discussed. Our pastors have advised us. Several thousand people have responded with the same inane information that does not address the true issue at hand.


Bible believers do not expect, nor are they required to have/live/enjoy (please select a verb, as you neglected to include one in your initial statement) a "good life". True believers live their lives in accordance to the Bible's commands with the expectation that they will be welcomed into heaven. Nothing that exists or occurs on this earthly plane is of any value other than to show obedience and give glory to God.


The game that you are defending has been determined to lack any benefit in God's plan for His followers so it has been rejected. If a video game means more to you than spending eternity with Jesus, by all means, play until you begin to smell so foul that Satan will choose to pull you into the pit with an extra long pitchfork. Your eternal fate is your own concern.


Do not, however, assume to instruct us on how we conduct our own lives. The Bible requires us to judge between evil and good so we can both please God and lead others to Him. A True believer would not necessarily judge someone for making a mistake, but if the person refused to admit to the mistake and kept repeating the same behavior, then it is a believer's sacred responsibility to offer judgment here on earth. If the person so judged repents, he or she is spared the final judgement of hell. That seems like a kindness rather than an imposition, if you ask me.


Finally, for what I am sure is more than the 3300th time, the only book we concern ourselves with at Landover Baptist is the Bible. The reason for repeating that point is because no one on this thread seems to get it.

I always judge books by the cover. If the cover says "KJV 1611" then it is ok. If not, then is not.

It's how it works for me, too. When I see a book with a scantily clad woman in loose clothes, clutching to a strapping, half naked pirate, and the title has words like "Lust" "Love" "Master," etc, I know to pick it up and throw it in the garbage can. When I see a book with a title that references witchcraft or vampires, I know to open pages inside and write with a permanent marker "GOD SEES ALL AND WILL NOT SUFFER A WITCH TO LIVE." I see a book that says "Holy Bible, KJV Version" and I know I am safe from demons trying to enter my purse or pockets and get into my house in sneaky ways. Pat Robertson explains more here:
