I'm straight and a Muslim, but I believe in gay rights. I have a number of gay friends and family, and I see no reason why they are not entitled to the same rights as anyone else; despite the multitude of religious rulings to the contrary. I take comfort in the fact that there is no actual mention of the word homosexual. The only references in the Qur'an are to men lustfully approaching other men or children, which I take as being against lust and pedophilia. There is also no mention of lesbians or bisexuals. I hope that someday my fellows will accept homosexuals as they would anyone else, God willing.

And to you, Truechristian, seriously? I have real trouble believing you and your words anything but a big joke. do you have any scientific knowledge whatsoever? or are you a member of something like the "God hates fags" Church?

And on a theological note: How dare you make any presumptions as to whether or not someone is going to hell? You are no judge, that is only for God to do.

We are commanded to obey secular laws by Jesus. So I follow whatever local laws I encounter during my missionary travels. In Freehold we follow the Holy Bible as closely as possible.

I think you should call the Homeland Security and your local authorities; the person leaving such discarded material (used slickers) is a terrorist.

I was a sea captain for many years. Many of those years in Key West and I ran gay reef trips - called Beef on the Reef. I was known as the straight guy and became a father confessor to many troubled gays.
The only people who are bothered by gay rights, gays or anybody else for that matter are closet gays or rednecks. even if they have a cultured accent The true redneck (who of course may well be a closet gay) would ban anything not taught by his/her sister mother - can be the same person so I am told in certain areas of the country.
Education does not always get rid of the redneck, education does not always open the mind. These people often become fundamentalist Christians or Muslims. Most will have a belief system that included's a supernatural being - a god or God. (same thing) A closed mind is too precious to save
