Actually, there are at least 50,000 homosexual, bisexual, or transgendered individuals in the city of Atlanta alone. To doubt that there are even 100,000 LGBT individuals in the country is highly ignorant and you should be ashamed of your blind and narrow views.

I would also like to point this out: the United States were NOT founded by Christians. The majority of the founding fathers were actually deists. I don't know why your congregation insists upon lying to you in such a manner.

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" Jesus says that the second greatest of all commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself. Would you treat yourself with the same condemnation that so many of you seem ready to heap upon others due to thinking differently from you, having a different skin color, being from a different nation, or having a different sexuality than yourself? Hardly. By trying to claim to truly follow the word of God when you cannot even follow God's second most important commandment of all is naught but hypocrisy.

So, before you can make any such claim as your neighbors only include those who walk in the way of the Lord, this parable proves that Jesus believed ALL mankind were our neighbors.

Idiot child! Up until the ink was dry on the signatures on the Declaration of Independence, all the founding fathers were British. (Interestingly, by virtue of the British Law of Nationality, they remained British for the rest of their lives, although I can't see that this bothering them unduly.)
