Being respectful to your community I did an Intro first in the right place and started to outline some of the missinformation about asexuals and asexuality.

Quite rightly at some stage and not wanting to turn the intro into a debate thread, I have now joined you on this thread.

Whilst some kind soul has tampered with my profile and I now have Scottish poof as a header I am indeed English , straight and Asexual.

I hope over some of the forthcoming days to offer a clearer picture of what an asexual is.

Within the Asexual community I am known as PiF or you can call me Shaun as is my name. I rarely get offended or press report buttons as I am open to a questions should you have any. Speak soon.

Basil...sex obsessed? I haven't tickled a ladies pancreas in years. I did highlight that asexuality is not the omission of sex and used my own personal life to highlight that.

OOO linky to Aven...Thank you. An asexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction. I meet and have held that definition for the last 50 years.

A thing about Aven...it is the largest asexual site. As such, like religion and many main group fora, it always has the main drive, accompanied by sub groups and then sub groups of those sub groups. Man sometimes they even confuse me so I would take the definition on the front page and the forum headers as 101 and everything else is open to personal interpretation.

We have a lot of young members who are on the discovery path and as such they are exercising open communication without restricted minds...most of which as a die hard black or white, I struggle with to be honest but as with any youth (I am sure we were the same) olders always find youngers hard to understand. Some will be asexual, some will feel they are asexual at this momment and some will not be but all are welcome. We never say if they are or are not as the person will need to find their own discovery on their own journey

Beyond that everything else is just as applicable to a sexual as it is an asexual, we love, we try to do the best we can, we have jobs, go to college, have relatives, partners, have cars, bicycles, buy crappy coffee at starbucks, being straight, being gay, being bi, hanging the washing out, using the internet, some are religious and some are not, some have sex and some do not, some have relationships and some do not etc.

Beyond that I am open to questions, observations or you could just go and look at any asexual site, they will be repsectuful to respectfull people

Maybe you don't notice how addicted you are. There was again over dozen s-words in your post.
As you have been many times told, this is family friendly forum. You are most welcome to write here about your favorite bible verses, your faith, what kind of church you visit, your everyday life as child of God. Or you can go to another forum (Praying requests) if you want us to pray with you, if you are longing for feeling of being whole with the love of God.

I would never consider discussing things with the members on here as a waste of my time. If you feel that way you could just leave the thread to die out or as you have, join in. Your welcome too.

Marko...I came to the forum as I saw the God hates Asexuals on a search and thought, what on earth caused this line of thought. Possibly because of the information they had was incorrect, I checked the thread and much of it was so sought to offer an Asexual perspective from a Asexual. There are some who are sexually repulsed and some who are celibate so if you wish to pop over to aven I am sure they will be able to give a more rounded picture if you wish?

Something that perhaps I can ask of the "True Christians"

Like God I only fathered one child and like god I do not have a wife. Could it be that god maybe Asexual?

This is, indeed, a conversation that is not very constructive.

I appreciate you cordial manner, which is certainly too rare among the visitors of this Kind and Godly Forum. I fail to appreciate your manner of commenting from a parallel and gloomy secular universe that is - really - not of much interest to true Christians™.

You have provided some secular opinions and arguments regarding your community. They have not been very successful and we have not even reached any consensus regarding the definition of your condition. Having read your posts I am inclined to think that you are attempting to convince us that your opinions on "asexuality" are the correct ones. For this, you have provided no spiritual or Biblical arguments.

Thus, your case is still void of the only thing that actually matters, how your situation plays out before the Face of GOD. Brother Pendergast provided excellent verses of SCRIPTURE in his opening post of this thread. There's your counterargument! They are the points you should be assessing.

1 Timothy 1:4-10 is as follows:

How do your opinions relate to the verses of Bible Brother Pendergast originally referred to? Why should we ignore them if we are to take the WHOLE Bible as God's Word? What are your arguments based on Scripture that oppose our Brother's exposition?


Those are OUR rules for proper argumentation. If you cannot answer, you should perhaps cońtemplate on the matter. Jesus calls you. Repent. Then we can help!

If a man wishes to encourage another in an issue of a moral nature, surely no less than the very Author of Morals and the Good Book that explicitly provides a righteous, moral foundation should be consulted. Instead, I'm starting to think this man has come to share his perversion with a new audience. I think he might be "getting off" on all this talk. I find that highly disgusting and not at all in compliance with Scripture.

While I cautiously accept your thanks, I'm afraid you don't really understand my position as a Christian. While good behavior can sometimes be a prerequisite for fruitful conversation, it is far from adequate from the spiritual point of view. The secular "more correct information" is from the Biblical viewpoint personal opinions at best, and at worst:

Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

and

Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Without actual Biblical content I must place your alleged information in the above-mentioned category. Jesus and His apostles have given this advice. I dare not question them. Praise Jesus! Praise GOD!
