Hello, I became a Christian a few weeks ago. The long and short of it is that I became fed up with earthly pleasures, and wished to seek something higher. Where I am from we are taught that you should just pursue whatever pleasures your heart desires. But I came to realize that this just leads to becoming desensitized to pleasure... It's like doing drugs. At first it feels great, but then you just need more and more drugs to feel that way. And then nothing else in your life feels good except for drugs...
