Hmm... I'm pretty sure that's from Leviticus, which is from the Old Testament, so named because it was written before Jesus lived. Kinda thinking He didn't actually say that, but I see where you're going.

We were talking about something Jesus may or may not have said (had to do with hugs). Witch Hammer quoted from Leviticus, which does not contains things Jesus himself explicitly said (in the traditional sense of using one's mouth the make sounds). I didn't say that Christians aren't to follow the Old Testament, just that it doesn't fall into the category of "Things Jesus Said" - unless you accept WH's logical loop-de-loops, that is.

My dear confused child, I understand that logic is not something you're good at (all of us women lack these complex thinking skills), but I will try to be patient and explain to you things step by step:

1. All of the Bible is the word of God, not just the bits Jesus said.

2. As Brother Miller kindly explained to you, Jesus Himself clearly supported Old Testament laws. Why couldn't he - as Brother Witch Hammer brilliantly explained, Jesus (who is the same God as the Father and the Holy Spirit - don't try to understand how that works, your female brain is way too simple for that) is the one who inspired writing the Old Testament in the first place.

3. Therefore, the Old Testament laws are still valid - which is why we do not wear mixed fabrics, for example (Leviticus 19:19, Deuteronomy 22:11).

However, if you really want to see an excerpt from the New Testament condemning homosexuality, here you go, sweetie - this is just one out of several:

Romans 1:18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

No one said that the Bible was not the Word of God, nor that only that which Jesus Himself said is important. It just so happens that we were having a discussion whose subject was confined exclusively to Things Jesus Said. Witch Hammer quoted a passage which was not something Jesus said, and I simply pointed that out.

2. As Brother Miller kindly explained to you, Jesus Himself clearly supported Old Testament laws. I didn't say that He didn't. Just that the quoted passage from Leviticus was not something Jesus said. We were discussing Jesus' mouthwords - literal words coming out of a literal mouth - and that particular passage was not directly quoting something Jesus said. Why couldn't [Jesus be] the one who inspired writing the Old Testament in the first place. By True Christian non-logic, yes, sure, Jesus could certainly have been the one who inspired that passage from Leviticus, but the fact remains that it is not quoting Him. It is not something Jesus said and Witch Hammer and I were discussing things Jesus said.

3. Therefore, the Old Testament laws are still valid - which is why we do not wear mixed fabrics, for example (Leviticus 19:19, Deuteronomy 22:11). Never did anyone imply that Old Testament laws were invalid. Thanks for playing!

Don't be silly. True Christian™ logic is never muddy. It's Divinely Inspired, which means if it doesn't make sense, that's the fault of fallible human minds. We can't hope to understand how or why God does what He does (Isaiah 55:8-9), but we can comprehend the consequences of refusing to believe anyway (John 3:18; Revelation 20:15).

EVERYTHING THAT THE BIBLE SAYS IS THE WORD OF JESUS BECAUSE JESUS IS THE SAME PERSON AS GOD WHO INSPIRED (PRACTICALLY DICTATED) THE ENTIRE BIBLE.
