Well, that depends on which spelling system you adhere to. I provided you one of the original spellings. Other acceptable transcriptions include Sequoyah, si-ˈkwȯi-ə, and I know a language in which it would be Sekwoja.

It's just a matter of convention.

@the so-called Pastor Ezekiel, I have read the Bible many times. You are taking that passage in Leviticus so far out of context that it would be funny if it weren't so serious. That whole passage is talking about Levites offering sacrifices in the Holy Place. It has absolutely nothing to do with going to church or being saved, or being loved by God for that matter. Disabled people were not allowed to offer burnt offerings before the LORD for the same reason they had to provide a lamb without blemish. It's a type of Christ because He had to be perfect in order to take away our sins, which of course the sacrifices weren't able to do (go read Hebrews). Even in that one passage you're taking out of context, it said that a disabled person could still eat the bread of his God; he just couldn't do the offerings. Heck even the priests who did the sacrifice had to go through a bunch of cleansing rituals in order to approach the Holy Place, or they could very easily find themselves dead.


If you want to see how Jesus actually treated disabled people while He was here on Earth, where in the Gospels does it show Him picking on people and calling them retards? On the contrary, He healed them. And please don't make that obnoxious comment, "Well obfiously you don't have enough faith, or God would have healed you.' I grew up Pentecostal and have heard that crap before. I will again refer you back to I Corinthians 12 and also to the book of Job. For some reason that I don't know and probably won't know until I get to Heaven, God has seen fit that I should be born with a disability. I don't know why He has made me this way, but He has a purpose for everything He does. If He decides to heal me, awesome. If not, awesome anyway.


Also, you guys need to understand that having a disability and being retarded are the same thing. I am blind and have Asperger's. This has nothing to do with my lack of intelligence, only my eyesight and the fact that my brain is wired a bit differently than yours. Of course you probably will read everything I said and take it out of contexdt or pull a few words out and respond to them. I guess I should consider the source.

What do you think of the Sacred Name movement?

Sorry I had to post it here, but this is the only forum I can start new threads in. What do y'all think of the Sacred Name bowel movement? For those who don't know, they believe that we're supposed to use the Hebrew name for God and Jesus exclusively, and also that we should keep the Jewish laws, except for sacrifices.

These people are Millerites and damned by God. Jesus Himself said that no man would know the time of His return (Matthew 24:36 and also found in Mark 13:32)), but that wasn't good enough for the Millerites. They ignored the word and predicted the return falsely. Then they broke up into all kinds of crazy churches that in no way glorify the Lord and His word. Why would anyone care what they think?

Book of Job is an excellent comparison. God punished His faithful servant with poverty, death of his entire family, and sickness, just for a bet that He made out of boredom with the Devil. That's because ultimately, that faithful servant was a worthless piece of scum in the eyes of God, worth about as much as an insect that you step on. (Otherwise, God would not be so cruel to Job, would He?)

I'm glad that God doesn't play dice with my life. Apparently, I'm worth more than that for Him.

You just go ahead and go to Sequoia National Park with your axe and start chopping. I'd seriously like to see that. Not sure there'd be internet access where you'd be going. Also I'd be careful what you say to your new sellmates. They probably wouldn't take too kindly to the vitrial you spew.

Chopping is to difficult, that is why God gave use chainsaws. I've cut down quite a few of these nasty trees. I find the wood is good for filling in ditches.

Tell me, what would I sell my mate of 40 years, Mrs. Hutchins? She has bore Jesus many fine sons (and sadly a few daughters, some of which died while still young. Easy come, easy go-Gods Perfect Will(r)).

If you are blind, how can you see? Did you think you had a screw loose and jam a screwdriver in your ear? Retards do that a lot to 'tighten things up'. What you need to do is give your self to Jesus and give up on all other folly. Follow the pure Word of God without question.

I don't get it - what is wrong with preaching the Word of God in all of its beauty?

Would you prefer us to hide most of the Bible (the parts that do not conform to the Western 21th century "moral" standards) and lie to people, telling that God loves everyone and that He created Hell just for fun, and not to send most of humanity there?

Eep, that plural form was truly disgusting. Keep that jazz up and I'll probably need a new keyboard. I have audio/tactile synesthesia, and I actually felt that. Thanks a lot *blasts Irish music full blast to get that out of her head*. Everyone uses the term "Sequoias" when referring to the trees. I believe if I ever heard that other one out loud I would do a bit of the ol' reverse parastolsis, which I'm about to do anyway. Please, if you have even the slightest bit of human decency in your soul, please don't do that again. I'm begging you.
