I don't even know if I'm a Christian. But the Bible is confusing and often contradictory, and there are many different ways to interpret it. I believe that interpreting certain passages differently doesn't make you less of a Christian.

We still have great hopes for him. He has a better potential to became an actual True Christian™ someday, because unlike millions of false Christians he has actually read the Bible. We pray for him a lot that he finally accepts Jesus into his heart.

Why interpret, when you can simply read it as is? When you read the Bible in context (and not just cherry pick a few isolated verses), there's really no room for interpretation, it is what it is.

This is the mistake SO many false Christians make. Thinking that THEY are smart enough to "interpret" the Word of God.

Look, it is written in simple American English. Not difficult to simply read and understand.

A useful analogy my friend, would be the purchase of a wood chipper. Now, the smart person would read the instructions and follow them precisely, as they are written, or suffer the consequences. Only a fool would try to "interpret" the meaning of the instructions. Simple stuff.
