    Introduction

Hi there, this is my introduction with a little info about myself.

I am an atheist from Britain. I love science and researching it in any way I can as well as writing about topics like chemistry, space, genetics and evolution. Though you say an atheist sees no beauty, this could not be more false. I love nature and animals (especially dogs and aquatic life) as well as nature walks etc and visiting the beach. I have also written essays on atheism. I am also a liberal and support the libdems in politics. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and girlfriend as well as sports like Cricket and running (very slowly) to try and get back in shape.

I am in this forum as I am trying to understand the beliefs of fundamentalist Christians but feel free to pose me any questions about my (lack of) beliefs, but please don't be rude just for the purpose of being rude as that acheives nothing for anyone.

Oh and I also hate Donald Trump

    Re: Introduction

I agree with you, besides the talk about atheism and evolution. Welcome to the magical land of Landover Baptist Church, where you will most likely be thrown out like me. They don't respect anyone of other nations, races, or religion. I'm a white American, but I'm Catholic, and I guess they hate me for that. Don't give them a bad first impression, it's a mistake I made. I suggest you take down this post before they yell at you for being a British atheist (which I find nothing wrong with, it's not your choosing to be British, and atheism is just your way of seeing the world) I'll pray for you, I hope God gives you a second chance

I thought you were supposed to be Catholic...?

Your pope loves atheists and your church approves of evolution (and it has for the last three or four popes, but I'm too busy to dig up the source for that) why don't you?

Please don't shoot the messenger, sweetie. Take your complaints directly to God - it is His Holy Word that compels us to be like that.

Aww, we don't hate you, we want to save you!

God doesn't listen to prayers of Hellbound sinners like yourself, sweetie:

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Oh, and hello, Goldenshark. I hope you can be a civilized atheist who has actually read the Holy Bible and can contribute constructively to our praises of Jesus.

Thank you Comatoserocker for your welcome. I have no problem with people of other faiths as long as it does not hurt anyone else, and by the looks of this forum fundamentalism hurts a lot of people. Many thanks again for your welcome and have a nice day.

Mr Shark, you are clearly and by your own admission, without duress, an Englishman. We have had many of your kind here over the years. The profile you have is provided is exactly the same as nearly every other godless Englishman we have seen here, except that you claim to be heterosexual. We are given to understand that most Englishmen are homosexuals now. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and accept your somewhat suspicious claim. As to your other qualities, let us just point to the position of the English vis a vie the rest of the more civilized world, with your 21st Century godless heathens, as opposed to your place in the world 100 years ago. Quite the change you communist wretches have wrought, eh? If you think that is a drastic change, just wait till you get to Hell.

Welcome to our Godly forum Goldenshark - the Holy Spirit has guided many from Britain here in the last few years. Given the direction of your country many are converting to the True Christian™ Faith of the Landover Baptist Church and are applying for immigration to Freehold to escape.

Being an atheist you will quickly see the light once the mooselimbs start their beheadings and stoning - to say nothing about the imminent decline in property values that your "libdems" and their "multiculturalism" have brought about. Sunday mornings here are peaceful as we praise Jesus and give thanks for Donald Trump's mooselimb cleansing policies.

            Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
            ...and get off my lawn

What, are Catholics too retarded to click on links? Surely you got the Vatican memo on this, or whatever it is that your silly little cult uses to transmit the word of the pope to the ears of the cultists.

Or was your priest too busy sodomizing little boys to deliver the message that day?

So, you just assumed I didn't click the links? Because I did. You don't need to be rude about it (I'm not talking to Rusty, he was actually very kindly when he replied to me) Unlike Des, who was extremely rude and disrespectful to my faith. I respect that you're baptist, can't you just accept that I'm Catholic? At least I'm not pagan or atheist (don't get started on that Mary/pope worshipper nonsense [MYTHOLOGICAL, SUPERSTITIOUS CLAP-TRAP REMOVED BY MODERATOR] But I believe in God (so I'm not atheist) and I don't worship anything else (so I'm not pagan) I suppose it's possible that some other Catholics worship Mary or the pope, but I know I don't.

Catholics say they do not worship Mary but they venerate her and ask her to do things and pray to her but none of that is supported by Scripture one True Christian™ here called her nothing more than an E-Z-Bake Oven that is a toy that cooks tiny cakes with a lightbulb I thought that was funny.

Now wait just a minute. You claim to be a catholic, but catholics have something called the dogma of papal infallibility in which your cult pretends the pope is the mouthpiece of God. Something about ex cathedra, or whatnot.

So, either a)you actually knew that the pope told you to accept evolution and thinks atheists are do-gooders, b) you are not being honest with us when you claim to be a catlicker, or 3) cathoholics are massive hypocrites in that they not only ignore what the Bible says, but also ignore what the person they pretend is the mouth of God says.

Read Matthew 16:18-19, that's where Jesus Himself makes Peter head of the church (aka the pope) So of Jesus chose the first pope, that means he should be the church head that Jesus wants. Now, papal infallibility doesn't mean the pope can't sin, it simply means he teaches what he's supposed to. That may not be what you believe, but it's what I choose to believe. I'd suppose that A is the most fitting answer, but it's not true completely. Look up a Catholic website about this to see it from our point of view if you really want to. This should answer yours as well as Rusty's question, because I found an amazing website with faq's about Catholicism. Before I post the link, I'm just saying there's no pressure for conversion or whatever. You can stick to being Baptist and I'll stick to Catholicism, but this pretty much justifies my religion: http://www.catholicscomehome.org/two-minute-answers/
