    I will be saved

Hello, and I hope someone is reading this. I have decided that I need to be saved, Christianity being the only thing i can turn to. I will not mention my real name, nor shall I put my area of living in this introduction, but I will tell you my story, and why i now truly believe i'm on the path of being saved by the Lord himself.

I have commited crimes both in an illegal way, and according to the bible. I have been labeled, "Sexual offender", yet my only crime was temptation that I could not resist. I wish to be cleansed! I write this, with all my heart. I NEED help. An extra "push" if you will.

I did my time in a prison which shall remain unnamed. In this prison, there was a group for sex offenders such as myself, which inspired us to believe, believe that we could still be saved. I had a bible put in my hand, and I read. Oh, Lord knows that i read.

    I still remember it clearly.

Luke 22:40 - On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."

I can relate to this, oh so much, as I failed to do what the verse has described. However, I believe I am cleansing myself through this very introduction.

Thank you for reading, any support would be greatly appreciated.

A servant of the Lord, Edd.

    Hello Edd,

Welcome to the forum. I do encourage you to come clean though: Before the nice True Christians (TM) can help you, you need to repent. Don´t hold back.

    Kind regards,

      Re: I will be saved

Hello and to our Godly Forum, Mr. Edd!

Here's the good news: God doesn't care what you did in the past. If you have truly repented then you're a New Creature in Jesus:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Even a serial killer can be Saved™ and go to Heaven if he repents for his sins. Who knows, if Hitler and Stalin repented for their sins just before their death, they are destined for Heaven as well!

      Luke 23:39-43
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

God created fossils to test our faith.

        Re: I will be saved

I used my stick of temptation, to sexually abuse a young woman. She was not willing to perform such acts, yet I did it any way. Temptation got to me, and I commited Sin beyond even my own comprehension.

This above describes my sins, and now I must add that I have been to multiple confessions, telling the same thing. I must repent for my sins.

          Hello Edd,

Why didn´t you just pay her father, as in Exodus 22:16-17?

What I am speaking about, is commonly known as rape. As I stated, "she was not willing to perform such acts." it was forceful, it is my sin i carry.

And, to argue against your argument, in the eyes of society and our Lord, does paying the victim of your sin's father currency really make it in any way better?

However that is the word of god and I as a servant must obey. I will now, given that I can find the individual who is the father of the victim, pay him for my acts.

My Bible knowledge is far from perfect but perhaps you can point out which verse makes the ¨forceful¨ part of the act the sin?
And, to argue against your argument, in the eyes of society and our Lord, does paying the victim of your sin's father currency really make it in any way better?
Here I refer to the scripture I posted earlier. According to the Bible it does.

So? Just pay up and marry her already:

                Deuteronomy 22:28-29
                28 If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

Or was she engaged to another at the time? In this case you're kinda screwed (raping another man's wife/fiancée, THAT is a SIN, because you'd be violating another man's property), but her fate depends on the locality where it happened:

                Deuteronomy 22:22-27
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
                23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

And, to argue against your argument, in the eyes of society and our Lord, does paying the victim of your sin's father currency really make it in any way better?
                See above, dear.

Nobody should care how these things are seen in the eyes of the society. The only opinion which counts is that of God and it's spelled out very clearly in the verses above.
God created fossils to test our faith.

Hello dear, and welcome to our friendly forums! I can see the problem you're having is in your concern for what society thinks. You see, a True Christian™ is free from public persuasion in the same way we are free from sin, reliance on evidence, or even common sense! We are commanded to completely ignore the moral code secular society would encourage, and instead walk in blind faith (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 5:7). Besides, I have a feeling the wife you once forced yourself on and are compelled to love and serve (Ephesians 5:25) will ensure you'll pay.

                  Oh boy, will you pay.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

                    Re: I will be saved

                    Edd,

I fail to see how hitting someone with a stick makes you a s-e-x offender. I strongly recommend that you learn more about the circumstances of your "crime" before making payments and obligating yourself to a marriage with no good reason.
Were you disciplining this woman? Think carefully. Had she spoken up in church and was trying to teach or usurp authority over a male?
Was she dressing like a harlot, displaying her ankles or her mammalian artifacts, putting them out there in front of men like two nasty pillows of perversion and passion?

When I was a teenager, my parents had huge trees on our property and we often gave wood to our neighbors. I can't remember how many times I showed my wood to them and then put it in their arms. Once, I did accidentally drop a log on one of them, too, but my parents were quick to apologize and clean us both up, recognizing that mistakes happen. The problem is not with the wood, or as you put it, the "stick", but whether or not your actions were appropriate at the time. If one of my lady customers decided that they didn't want my wood at the last moment, I couldn't have just shoved it at her and insisted on payment. That would not have been what JESUS would have wanted. Even though I was a Catholic at the time, I still knew you don't just force wood on people.

The same applied to my dealings with the men of our town. I can't tell you how much pleasure I've obtained from sharing wood with men so they could find warmth and comfort. I do miss those trees, since Central Park is now the only place where I can enjoy green space unless I paint the sidewalk. LOL

                    COME, LORD JESUS!

You should cut off your sinful instruments and cast them aside. The rest of your body can be saved. I assume you are right handed. So the first thing to do is to cut off the offending stick with your right hand, and then cut off your right hand with your left hand.

After accepting your sinful nature, and turning your life towards Jesus, this is your best chance for Salvation.

I'm going to need pictures of the project that you claim as the reason for buying over 400 rolls of duct tape last year. I think we have the hundreds of feet of chain explained without a problem once you prove you own all the animals you claim in your statement. (But really? You own a Kodiak Bear AND a white Siberian Tiger? We may need photos of you with those at some time in the future.)

You've missed the last three deposition appointments. Explanation, please?

So, let me know if you need an attorney. Be a little wary of the fundamentalists in this forum. They aren't going to help if you have legal problems. That's where I come in.
