    Re: Why all the hate?

I share similar beliefs to Force (?), that Jesus loves all, although this forum is showing me otherwise.
God Bless you and have a wonderful day!

No dear, this forum is showing you what the Holy Bible says about who Jesus loves [and who He doesn't]. You do believe the Holy Bible, don't you?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

        Re: Why all the hate?

I find it interesting that people 'think' that by God allowing us to live and have the slimmest of chances of going to Heaven, that is a show of Love. I feed my dogs not because I love them (who could possibly love a beast) but because if they die, all the time I spent training them to hunt game would be wasted.
God often feels the same about us. He gives us life and then the Bible to learn. Those that fail to learn the Bible have horrible deaths and spend eternity in Hell. The few fortunate to be in His Good Graces(c), Die peacefully and dine at His Gracious Table(r) for all of eternity.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Well, please explain, how does it feel to have beliefs which stand in clear contradiction to what the Holy Bible says?
God created fossils to test our faith.

            Re: Why all the hate?

It's funny you should mention that! I've just spent a couple of hours reading up on Mark Bonocore (catholic) who was going off like one of those muslim clerics when challenged. It becomes very difficult to engage with a religion based on denial of The Ten Commandments.

I'm quite happy to accept that God may speak to individuals such as Pastors and that He could, if He desired, provide additional information for us. Catholic priests are not like that. What they "reveal" actually CONTRADICTS commandments; it does not AUGMENT them. Where is the "extra" information coming from? Before linking to Bonocore I would find out what he represented, hence my current indigestion due to have you ever burst out laughing while eating pain au chocolat?

Just wow! He waffles on about needing the social context for whatever is in The Bible so that we'll know what God meant. This calls for expertise, not just mere fluency, in ancient languages. Children are not noted for that. When Jesus was asked equivalent questions His answer explained how the mind set required thinking "as little children" for Salvation to be understood. The best way to understand what "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing" would be to ask a child. Not a pope. According to Jesus. Not me.

.enquirer Can I carve an image of a horse?
.. .child No, you can't carve an image of anything
.enquirer Can I carve an image of an elephant?
.. .child No, you can't carve an image of anything
.enquirer Can I carve an image of a dishwasher?
.. .child No, you can't carve an image of anything
.enquirer I know! I know!! Carve an image of a foreign idol which is not itself an idol!!!
.. .child No, you can't carve an image of anything
.enquirer But the social context of the time allowed idols
.. .child How did that work out for them?
.enquirer No, no, definitely it's OK to make carved images
.. .child You can't carve an image of anything
.enquirer A waxwork of Jesus with candles and bells but we're not worshipping it?
.. .child You can't make any image
.enquirer How about if I bow down and venerate it?
.. .child I'm starting to feel sick

At no time have the commandments been CONTRADICTED. How can they make sense of the world when they're being taught that words mean THE OPPOSITE of what they actually mean? Whether or not to bow down in front of a carved image or waxwork is not a question ever arising where The Truth prevails because there are no idolatrous images to start with. What happens to people who make them is outlined in The Bible. The Bible also prohibits bowing down to the things. Again the catholic lies. "Oh," some cardinal will announce, "When we bow down before them we're not worshipping!" and once again The Bible doesn't care what you CALL IT, it's the BOWING DOWN that's prohibited. Veneration, genuflecting, respect, just there to provide inspiration, all these words are meaningless. Performing ANY duty in front of ANY idol whether you call it an IDOL or not, whether you call it WORSHIP or not, all these are covered in The Bible by God who will CERTAINLY CAST all idolators into HELL just for MAKING ONE in the first place. A child..even a catholic child..will understand that straight away if allowed to see The Ten Commandments at all and can read. But that is not the answer you'd get from any priest. Therefore they are NOT following Jesus.
