    Introduction

    Hi everyone,

    I go to St. James Episcopal Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts


    My favorite Bible verse is Micah 6:8


    He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?


    How did I come to find Jesus? Well, I was born into a southern conservative Baptist family in Iowa, but my dad kicked me out of the house for coming out as a trans woman, so I fled to Massachusetts and became an Episcopalian.


    Anyways, I just wanted to join this forum so that I could spread some love and warmth among all the hateful posts that I notice here.

    The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

    In other words, you are an abomination. What does the LORD command us to do with abominations?

    Leviticus 20:13

    If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death ; their blood shall be upon them.

    In other words, you are an abomination and you deserve execution

      Hello! Please don't feel dejected by the hateful posts you'll undoubtedly come across. So many people Hate Jesus and will stop at nothing until they find the most dastardly way to offend Him. Some turn to the homosexual lifestyle, some to feminism, some even raise their children to be autistic just for bragging rights among other Haters to see who could be most Hateful to the Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16)! The one thing they have in common is shouting their sin from the mountain tops, but we know who has the last laugh (Galatians 6:7; Psalms 2:2-4)

      But fear not! You are among Sisters and Brothers of Christ! We have been bought by His Blood (1 Corinthians 6:20) and Born Again into Righteousness (John 3:3; Romans 5:1)! We want to share the Good News with you that it doesn't matter what God placed between your legs at birth! What matters is that you use what He put there to His purpose! If you have the kind of unit that makes your father proud, that means finding yourself a wife of healthy childbearing years to produce a small army! If you have been gifted instead with a womb, that means opening your self to your husband as often as he demands, knowing the pleasure of delivering unto him healthy sons is only months away!

      I think your favorite Bible verse is lovely! What do you think it means to "do justly" and to "walk humbly with thy God"? From where do you think we derive the sense of justice? Where did you learn how to "walk with God"?

          1. Both the verses you quoted are mistranslations. Allow me to fix them for you:

          Deuteronomy 22:5

          The woman shall not wear the armor of a warrior, neither shall a warrior disguise himself as a woman: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

          Leviticus 20:13

          If a man also lie with mankind, in the bed of a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death ; their blood shall be upon them.

          2. Under Biblical law, imposing the death penalty was practically impossible:

          - You needed to have 2 Jewish Male witnesses who have memorized the Torah and Oral Law.

          - They both needed to have eye contact with one another and with the perpetrator of the act.

          - They both had to warn the perpetrator, and in turn the perpetrator had to acknowledge the warning.

          - After that warning, they bring the perpetrator to the Sanhedrin to be tried(23 Judges).

          - If the judges vote by too wide a margin(17-6 for instance) the trial is null because of it being suspect of bias.

          - If the judges vote by too narrow a margin(12-11) the case is also thrown out.

          The Mishnah (tractate Makkoth 1:10) outlines the views of several prominent first-century CE Rabbis on capital punishment:

          "A Sanhedrin that puts a man to death once in seven years is called a murderous one. Rabbi Eliezer ben Azariah says 'Or even once in 70 years.' Rabbi Tarfon and Rabbi Akiba said, 'If we had been in the Sanhedrin no death sentence would ever have been passed'; Rabban Simeon ben Gamaliel said: 'If so, they would have multiplied murderers in Israel.'"



          In other words, the Rabbis read the passages you cite as allegory: capital punishment is symbolic of the gravity of the sin.

            Hi sweetie and to our friendly forum! We all deeply appreciate that you took some time out your busy sinning schedule to post here. While you are here, you might be interested in checking out an excellent sermon by Pastor Ezekiel regarding seven ways how to discern between true and false Bible translations. Also, please to check out Dr. Elmer White's discussion about the KJV as the only accurate Bible in the world.

            I don't know which translation are you using, but how the hell do you get from כְלִי־ (ḵə·lî-) to "armor," that really is beyond the scope of my understanding.

              1. Let's look at the word as it is used in other verses:

              1 Samuel 14:1

              Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, [כֵלָ֔יו - kēlāyw] Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that on the other side. But he told not his father.

              1 Samuel 14:6

              And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, [כֵלָ֗יו - kēlāyw] Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.

              2. There is no capital punishment for "the cross-dressing sin" (which is limited to women wearing the armour of a warrior or warriors disguising themselves as women). Not all abominations are listed as capital offenses

              3. I am a trans woman who has never worn the armour of a warrior and as such there is nothing to repent for in this case

              4. Donald Trump is an abomination, as can be seen from Ezekiel 16

              49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

              50 And they were haughty , and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

              In other words, the sin of the Sodomites was not homosexuality, but rather inhospitality and refusing to "strengthen the hand of the poor and needy"

              Since Donald Trump is clearly the living embodiment of all these vices, allow me to say the following short prayer:

              Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

                  I'm quite surprised to see someone who calls himself an Anglican quoting from some shonky third-rate translation. But I guess that just as Anglicans (a sub-sect of papism) aren't Christians, Episcopalians aren't even proper Anglicans.

                    You do seem to be quite confused. Episcopalians are a type of Anglicans, just like squares are a type of rectangles. Here in the USA, most Anglicans belong to the Episcopal Church.

                    "Papism" is simply a derogatory way of saying "Roman Catholicism" but since none of the Anglican Churches are in communion w/ the Pope of Rome, this does not apply to us. To quote the 37th Article of Religion from the 1662 edition of the Book of Common Prayer:
                    The Bishop of Rome hath no jurisdiction in this Realm of England.
                    As far as Bible translations go, here is the list of those that are authorized for use in the Episcopal Church
                    King James or Authorized Version (the historic Bible of The Episcopal Church)
                    English Revision (1881)
                    American Revision (1901)
                    Revised Standard Version (1952)
                    Jerusalem Bible (1966)

                      "A sub-sect of papism" is simply shorthand for a sub-sect of the catholic church - though most members of the CofE are so dumb that they believe it to be a Protestant church. Here is what the Church of England has to say about the matter:

                      It starts out well enough, but let's look at the end:

                            Indeed, Brother James. I am just fascinated, in a horrified way, by people who think that the term "Anglican" has any concrete meaning, or that their mish-mash of weird sects has anything in common. As you know, my family currently lives very near to Canterbury Cathedral and even within the Church of England you have everything from incense-waving graven-idol-worshiping posh boys in red trousers to the happy-clappy-charabanc-to-the-seaside brigade. Not being a snob, I hold them in equal contempt.
