Re: Greetings
Dear Mr. Mensan: To you, I extend a warm
But I must also extend a very serious word of warning to you, and one that involves a great deal of caution. You see, Mr. Mensan, whilst you are entitled to your worldly and religious views, one (meaning: you) must accept that there is One who is not quite so lenient. Your mention of "your fire and brimstone die hard interpretation" is one such example of how you are treading on thin ice. I would like to share this very important verse of Holy Scripture from the blessed
with you:
II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".
I have taken the liberty of highlighting the first few words of that precious verse, but all of it is as important as the first part. So, what you are referring to as our interpretation is actually very much an obvious, black-and-white declaration that has been given by the
Almighty,
self, to
children.
As for the rest of your message, wherein you try (without success) to persuade us that we are wrong, I must point out how very seriously
stands when it comes to his children sinning.
II Peter 2:4-9:
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished".
It is my hope and prayer that you will see the error of your ways, Mr. Mensan -- before it it is too late -- and ask the
to forgive you of your wretched sins, and then to ask
to enter your life as your
, knowing that doing so will save you from the eternal penalty of damnation and
fire on your personal Day of Judgment.
Sincerely, Isabella W.
